I lived next door to a Golden Retriever in Australia, Brian. Used to wander over on his own to visit and say hello to my cats. Cats loved him. What a sweet personality he had.

2023-12-26 03:43:50 +0000 UTCJust goes to show... no Fifi is safe from ridicule this Christmas! I had a mutt when I was a kid. No Fifi, to be sure. Best friend I ever had. Great neighbourhood dog. All the kids knew him, and he'd come along with us everywhere our gang went. Great protector, too. He always got in there to defend us from trouble. Cost us $35.00 back in 1971. That's worth about $225.00 today. Good deal for a dog like he was. Some of those prices at the pet store were ridiculous! What's with that..? That is really a lot of money to spend on things like lizards or chinchillas. That said, hope you all had a good Japanese/Aussie Christmas, in whatever combinations you may have celebrated. :-) And now that that's done... time to start gearing up for New Year! Cheers, Ed.
