OP Sister Chapter 545: The Sword Of Rupturing Destiny

-----

Out of nowhere, Gilgamesh summoned his mightiest sword, Erra, the Sword of Rupturing Destiny. The golden blade, over three meters long, resembled a massive slab of gold more than a conventional sword. It glowed with red and yellow runes etched across its surface, radiating an immense aura infused entirely with Epics and Fables.

Anna hadn’t even seen it coming, but she noticed a golden portal linked to Gilgamesh’s Treasury, indicating he could summon anything from there at any moment, anywhere. The Treasury wasn’t merely a storage for his treasures—it was likely an extension of Gilgamesh’s vast powers as a whole.

“Gilgamesh, you’ve destroyed my small, humble house again…” Buddha sighed.

“Hm? What’s wrong? I thought you didn’t care about material things or something?” Gilgamesh asked with a cocky smile. “Don’t worry! I’ll gift you a palace later.”

“I don’t need such things,” Buddha sighed again. “I’ll rebuild it later, I suppose. I wanted some exercise anyway. Cutting down trees and doing carpentry is always relaxing.”

Buddha remained unruffled, unable to get angry even when his entire house was destroyed. He always found something positive in any situation, maintaining a calm and serene expression.

“Um, Your Majesty? Surely you don’t plan on making me fight you, right? I’d die instantly from a single blow!” Anna said.

“Hahaha! What?! This king is not so foolish as to recklessly harm his apostle!” Gilgamesh replied. “First of all, what do you think of her? She’s beautiful, right? My Erra! Come to me!”

The sword responded swiftly, floating in midair and streaking through the sky to reach Gilgamesh’s hand with a resounding thud. Its brilliance was so intense it nearly scorched Anna’s skin.

“A-Ahhh…! Wow, this is…! Seeing it up close…!” Anna muttered, her mouth almost watering at the sword’s breathtaking beauty. “It’s incredible, far beyond anything I’ve ever held…! Gram is just a damn stick compared to Erra, Your Majesty…!”

“Hahahah! I’ve heard a bit about that Gram. Isn’t it the sword a Nordic Hero used to slay dragons?” Gilgamesh asked.

“Yes, it belonged to Sigurd… or rather, it did, from what I’ve learned. It was lost after he fought some demons,” Anna said.

“And then it shattered and became much weaker?” Gilgamesh inquired.

“Something like that. It was split into two and given to two separate constellations,” Anna explained. “One was a demon, the other… Fenrir? I don’t recall exactly.”

“Hmm, your brother has the other half?” Gilgamesh asked.

“Yes, but I don’t plan on taking it from him,” Anna said. “I want my brother to develop his own swordsmanship. No sword compares to Gram where we come from, anyway.”

“Hmmm, I see. Oh, is this the sword you’re talking about?” Gilgamesh asked, opening a golden portal and summoning a white-and-black sword with a long blade, adorned with two coiling dragons etched as powerful runes.

“Woah?!” Anna gasped. “T-That’s Gram?! The complete one?!”

“Hahaha! Of course! Did you think this king wouldn’t possess such a treasure? I covet all kinds of treasures!” Gilgamesh said. “Just so you know that fool Sigurd didn’t lose his original sword but a spare copy he had. The one you and your brother have… is a copy.”

“…?!” Anna gasped. “A-And you have the real one?! Did you steal it?!”

“I won it fair and square! Sigurd made it his Natal Dao Treasure,” Gilgamesh said. “I challenged him to a swordsmanship duel, a hundred rounds. The winner would claim the other’s blade. This is a tradition among Swordsmen from the middle realms and above—it’s part of our culture.”

“C-Culture?!” Anna gasped. “S-So you… beat him to a pulp and took his sword, Your Majesty? That’s… well, not exactly honorable.”

“Hmph! I won it fair and square, and now it’s mine. That hero also coveted my beloved Erra, and I gambled her in the fight, so I risked losing her too,” Gilgamesh said. “He was a formidable swordsman, having reached the Peak of a Sword Demigod. But when we fought, I was already a Sword God, so it wasn’t too difficult, heh.”

“W-Woah, so harsh…” Anna muttered.

“Harsh?! Hmph!” Gilgamesh scoffed, his tone sharp. “You, as this king’s apostle, should mind your manners! I’m being too lenient, aren’t I? Perhaps it’s time to teach you some discipline.”

“E-Eh?!” Anna blushed as Gilgamesh approached, his imposing figure looming over her, his chiseled abs right in front of her face.

When she heard “discipline,” all sorts of forbidden thoughts flooded her mind.

“You won’t fight me, but you’ll face my Avatar!” he declared.

“Ah?!” Anna’s stray thoughts vanished as she saw Gilgamesh point his prosthetic hand toward the lake, gathering vast quantities of Epics and condensing them into a glowing, ethereal entity resembling himself.

The Avatar floated toward her, firmly grasping Erra and pointing it at her with a challenging gaze.

“This is a Cosmic Avatar. Constellations at our level can easily create these to travel to different places without much risk,” Gilgamesh explained. “Right, Buddha? You do it all the time.”

“Hm,” Buddha nodded. “Please, Gilgamesh, refrain from starting a fight here. I’m trying to meditate…”

“He acts like a saint, but few Constellations can match this guy when he fights,” Gilgamesh laughed. “Who would have guessed the most peaceful one was such a monster?”

“…Monster?” Buddha sighed. “I only fight in self-defense and to protect others. I don’t enjoy fighting and never have. Perhaps we should practice meditation techniques, Gilgamesh. Your bloodthirsty mind could benefit from Buddhist teachings.”

“I’m not interested in sitting for a thousand years trying to understand why I feel pain or something,” Gilgamesh shrugged, his tone characteristically brash. “This king craves entertainment! Now, Anna, my apostle! It’s been ages since I’ve seen someone as promising as you! Let’s fight, shall we?”

“Ugh… fine,” Anna sighed, secretly wishing to meditate with Buddha instead. “W-What do you want me to do, Your Majesty?”

“We’ll spar for a few hours! I’ll assess your strength and techniques, then you’ll learn from my teachings,” he said. “The Blessing I granted you as my Apostle will awaken during battle, and a portion of my powers will gradually manifest within you.”

“…! Right! I’d forgotten about that…!” Anna nodded.

Apostles naturally inherit blessings and powers from their Constellations, awakening unique skills, magic, and techniques that they can eventually master.

As Gilgamesh’s Apostle, Anna was poised to gradually unlock a few of his most distinctive powers and abilities.

However, to achieve this, she would need to train relentlessly.

Gilgamesh knew the fastest way for her to awaken and develop these powers was through combat against one of his Avatars.

“Now, let’s go outside. The desert is vast and suitable for a proper spar.”

“Please don’t destroy the planet, Gilgamesh,” Buddha cautioned.

“I’ll restrain myself enough to avoid lasting damage, don’t worry, Buddha!” Gilgamesh replied.

With hearty laughter, Gilgamesh grabbed Anna by the hips and propelled her into the sky against her will.

As before, Anna had little strength to resist these ancient titans. Her best option was to remain courteous and hope for the best.

“Uwaaaahh! Please go slower!” Anna screamed, her stomach churning as if she might vomit everything she’d recently eaten.

“This king is going as slow as he can!” Gilgamesh said with a grin, arriving at an area on Mars known as the Scarlet Sea.

It wasn’t a true sea, nor one of blood, but an expanse of shimmering red dunes flowing like water, resembling an ocean of sand.

Gilgamesh sliced through the air with his bare hands, conjuring a potent sword formation using his sword energy alone. The formation expanded to ten kilometers, creating a suitable arena for Anna’s training.

“Now, Anna! There’s no better way to awaken your powers and hone your strength than through combat! It’s the simplest and most direct method,” he declared, his sharp, glowing eyes fixed on her.

His Avatar hovered before Anna, pointing the formidable Erra at her.

“How about we make things more interesting?” he said with a smirk. “If you can master my unique swordsmanship, I’ll give you the original Gram.”

“…?!” Anna’s eyes widened.

Moments ago, she felt unmotivated and weary, but now energy surged through her, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

“Y-You said I can get the original Gram?!”

The thought of wielding a legendary weapon once held by a Sword Demigod made her heart race. Not only could her Gram fuse with it to become immensely more powerful, but it might also elevate her to a higher realm as a Swordswoman.

“Yes, this right here!” Gilgamesh teased, brandishing the radiant divine blade with a playful smirk, his hair partially covering his face as his eyes glinted behind it.

“So? Are you motivated now?”

“Yes! Are there additional conditions?”

“The only condition is that you must replicate the first technique before you return home.”

“That’s it?”

“Yes, that’s it! Now, let’s begin!”

“W-Wait, I’m not ready—Ahhh!” Anna gasped as Gilgamesh’s Avatar charged toward her, Erra drawing closer.

The Avatar transformed into a radiant entity of pure starlight, blitzing toward her in a second, covering hundreds of meters before she could react.

“Damn it!” Anna exclaimed, struggling to summon her skills to defend herself while attempting to call forth Heracles’ Sword Axe.

However, her skills’ full power wouldn’t manifest yet.

BZZTTT!

Panicking, she faced Erra’s descent as she screamed.

“Aahh!” Anna unleashed her Aura, compressing it as dozens of Egos emerged, unable to fully form but using their arms to shield her and briefly hold Erra at bay.

“Hoo, you’re using your Radiance alone to block Erra? Well, I haven’t even swung her yet!” Gilgamesh’s Avatar declared.

TRUUUM!

The moment the Avatar swung the sword, a massive beam of light struck Anna’s Radiance. Her Egos shattered instantly, and she was hurled backward, crashing into the golden barrier of the formation.

BOOOM!

“Gaaahh?!” Anna cried, vomiting blood as intense pain seared half her body.

From her neck to her hip, a deep, bleeding wound gaped.

“A-Ahh…! Aagh…!” Gasping for air, Anna feared she might truly die.

But then, golden flames enveloped her wounds, rapidly healing the massive slash.

FLUOSH!

This power wasn’t tied to her skills or Myriad Self Arts.

This was…

“Oh?” Gilgamesh noted, intrigued.

Her mouth fell open as she noticed a blazing spark emanating from her.

This was…

“You’ve finally awakened it, huh? I knew a good hit would do the trick!” Gilgamesh celebrated.

“Those are my Golden Soul Flames,” he explained. “Your body can regenerate much faster with them, as long as you have some Cosmic Energy to spare.”

“I’m back to normal…?” Anna realized, only for her face to contort in horror as Gilgamesh’s Avatar attacked again.

“Shit! Sword! Sword! Gram!” she cried desperately, attempting to manifest Gram.

But Gram remained in a deep slumber.

Instead, her Myriad Self Arts responded. Her Sword Ego materialized dozens of times, overlapping to form a blade of gray fog.

CLAAASH!

Nnnggh!” Anna withstood the blow for a few seconds before being flung back again, earning Gilgamesh’s praise.

“Incredible! To think that bizarre Radiance can take any shape! I’m growing more intrigued. Let’s continue!”

Though I do wonder when Anna is going to use any of the other rewards from here class up trial? I believe there should be resources there that could help her.
