“{Myriad Self Arts}: {Arcane Boost}!”
I conjured an Ego on the spot and infused it into Baihe’s magic. The Aura surged, transforming her giant magic circle into a larger, more intricate, and spectacular spell.
The power of Myriad Self lies in its ability to adapt, boost, and combine everything.
An ultimate Martial Art, not just for me, but to empower everyone else!
“Haaaaahhh!”
Together with Baihe, we roared. The frozen beam struck Vulcanus, destabilizing his soul and sending him crashing to the ground with a thunderous explosion. Flames and frost spread everywhere.
BOOOM!
His soul struggled to repair itself, but the process was significantly slowed. The fragment of his soul here was half-frozen. I added a touch of Cosmic Power, a subtle seasoning he wouldn’t notice in time to evade.
“Nnnggh…! W-What is this?! I can’t move…! My soul is frozen! How?! You…! Who among you has cosmic power?! This is… NGAAAHH! DAMN IT! Just kill them already! Chimeras and Specters, fuse!”
With a furious command, his creations merged into massive beasts, attacking from every angle and attempting to tear us apart.
But they couldn’t.
We leaped into the air, unleashing our magic and techniques.
Bright flashes of color erupted everywhere!
Kevin’s spear pierced through all obstacles, firing spears of light simultaneously and triggering consecutive explosions.
Baihe’s frozen magic encased everything she could, even crafting frost golems from the corpses of fallen foes.
Annabelle summoned her army of spider monsters and transformed into a giant spider, rampaging and trampling beasts everywhere.
My brother and Henrietta combined their swordsmanship, dancing in harmony and complementing each other.
For a moment, as I watched their dance of dark and light, night and day, moon and sun…
I couldn’t help but think of my adoptive parents.
Perhaps, like them, these two were fated to be together and complement each other.
With Hilda, we smashed through the giant rock-covered beasts trying to stop us, while my familiars charged ferociously, destroying everything in their path.
“Fang Shuan!”
“Yes, master!”
“{Mechanical Body Transformation}! {Nanomachine Colony Manipulation}!”
He manifested instantly from my Realm, transforming into a giant mech by fusing with my skill effects. He rushed through the titanic beasts, punching them away.
Then, he summoned his golden spear, piercing them while unleashing his techniques. His Ki surged and rampaged like a golden dragon, slaying hundreds.
“Open the way!”
“Yes!”
His Aura exploded with greater power. Propulsors blazed behind him as his spear impaled dozens upon dozens of monsters. Blood and flesh splattered.
“Follow me!”
Everyone followed as we cut down the endless beasts charging at us.
Vulcanus’ face twisted with anger and disbelief.
“How come…?! Damned mortals! You will pay!”
He had half recovered by now, but we couldn’t let him fully regenerate. A chance like this wouldn’t come again, given his cunning nature.
“{Seven Blazing Dragon Stars Alchemy}: {Infernal Dragon Sorrow Deluge}!”
With a furious roar, bizarre magic manifested. The sorrow and suffering of thousands of his experiments formed crying, agonizing spectral flames that fell from the sky.
I leaped into the skies, combining my thunder god form with Mjolnir and summoning dozens of giant hammers from my Aura.
“{Mjolnir Rain}!”
Before, I could only summon one hammer at a time, but I wasn’t using the skill itself. I tapped into the “power” of the skill within me, the same way Myriad Self operated.
That’s right.
I was no longer bound by skills. As long as I understood them deeply, I could achieve so much more!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“Y-You summoned divine hammers out of nowhere? How?!”
Vulcanus questioned me, but I smiled, riding the explosions in the sky to descend. My brother, Henrietta, and Hilda followed as I grabbed them with my Myriad Self Hands.
“You think you can face me head-on? Hah! Don’t make me laugh, you ridiculous chimpanzees.”
He crossed his arms and instantly cast chantless magic. The ground beneath us split open as thousands of blazing serpents surged, their jaws wide.
At the same time, the volcanoes stirred, transforming into giant, rolling volcanic turtles hundreds of meters tall.
“This is not just my Domain. This is a pocket world! I am a supreme god here! Invincible and unbeatable! Your fate was sealed the moment you stepped in! I merely played along for my own amusement!”
“To me, it feels like you’re just scared.”
“You dare?!”
As he glared at me angrily, my Familiars charged at the beasts.
Fang Shuan used his spear to impale hundreds of blazing serpents, beheading them instantly. Their spirit blood drenched the land before he blasted everything with a powerful cannon from his chest.
Violet entered full kaiju mode, growing hundreds of meters tall and crashing against the two Volcano Turtle Dragons. He opened his jaws, digging into their flesh and tearing them apart.
Snow howled, with Baihe on his back, as their powers combined. Beams of frozen flames erupted from his giant horn, freezing the specters emerging from dark clouds Vulcanus summoned out of nowhere.
And Shiro stayed with us, healing and keeping us buffed.
We drew closer.
“Nggh! Don’t get close, you disgusting creatures!”
Vulcanus seemed visibly worried, stepping back and raising his hand to summon dozens of dragon spirits to stop us.
But I didn’t let him reach us easily. With my sword, I spun in midair, blending my Cursed Seal of Pain with the Heart of Hope and Love.
“Empathy!”
Pink and golden flames surged and exploded with immense power. My entire body transformed into a blazing star, descending through his spirits and obliterating them completely.
At the same time, my brother and Henrietta’s swords rushed down, united as one, as before.
Through their teamwork, they could mimic the combination I achieved with cursed seals and flames of hope.
It lacked some of my principles, but they compensated with their magic and the blessings of their constellations.
“{Eclipsing Blade}!”
SLAAASH!
The blade sliced through Vulcanus, who groaned in agony and swung his claws, aiming for my brother and Henrietta.
However, a massive hand of rainbow light caught the attack before it could strike, then twisted his hand.
CRACK!
“AAAAHHH!”
Vulcanus screamed, endlessly summoning more magic.
But with our swords, we cut through it all.
“Stop it!”
He screamed.
“GET AWAY!”
He roared angrily, suddenly attempting to flee into the skies.
He was trying to escape this realm.
“Where do you think you’re going?!”
High in the skies, Hilda awaited, surrounded by hundreds of nanomachines crafted from celestial energy.
I had shared some of my powers with her, and they worked flawlessly.
With her genius…
“Heh!”
Hilda crafted a construct beyond my imagination in mere seconds.
A massive, floating spaceship of golden nanomachines.
The cannon she carried was loaded inside, and with her resources, she charged it fully.
“THIS IS FOR MY GRANDPA! FOR MY VILLAGE, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!”
RUMBLE!
“Nngaaahhhhh?!”
Vulcanus tried to resist, but the beam, blending my powers with Hilda’s, struck him from above.
His soul plummeted to the ground, straight toward our blades.
“Aahhh! Wait, wait! This isn’t how it was supposed to turn out! WAIT A SECOND! Let’s negotiate! You are not stupid beings after all! We can reach a peaceful agreement!”
He tried escaping to the left, right, forward, and back, pleading for mercy and offering negotiation.
But with attacks sandwiching him from above and below, the pressure of our assault paralyzed most of his soul as he writhed in agony.
Yet he still had something up on his sleeve.
“S-SACRIFICE!!!”
With a scream, thousands of souls surged everywhere, rushing toward him.
All the monsters he summoned died, their souls merging with his soul avatar.
He was about to grow stronger!
“Now!”
But my Ego emerged, carrying an ancient Egyptian urn that instantly siphoned over half the souls.
This was my trusty Ramses’ Soul Eating Urn!
“Your relic is incredible, but it won’t be enough! Ha, Hahah!”
Vulcanus laughed, his body growing stronger, resisting our combined attacks better now, even as Baihe, Kevin, and Annabelle joined in.
However.
I had something up my sleeve too.
“This is it, Vulcanus.”
“Huh?!”
In an instant, everything turned to black darkness, with stars shining in the sky.
“W-What is this…?!”
His eyes widened as he looked around, spotting two massive judges gazing down at him.
Anubis.
Wepwawet.
The black and white jackals summoned their balances and grasped his heart.
Weighing it.
“Let’s see how sinful you are!”
“AAAAGHH!”
Vulcanus watched in horror as his heart, so heavy, struck the ground and left a massive crater.
The two judges smiled, baring their sharp teeth, then turned into spirits, piercing his body.
BOOOM! BOOOM!
“W-What is this— A curse?! A curse capable of harming constellations— AAACK!”
Before he could comprehend what was happening, Hilda’s spaceship transformed into a massive golden dragon.
The Balance’s Guardian.
“ROOOAAARRR!”
“What is this nonsensical power?! How could you…! Steal Anubis’ powers?!”
The dragon bit his neck and tore his soul, while our blades danced, slicing through him.
Using Myriad Self imbued in everyone’s sword, I guided each sword energy attack inside his soul.
Deep, piercing through planes.
And reaching his true body, seated on a throne of flames in his own world.
“NNGGH…! AAHH…! AAAAAGGGH!”
His body shuddered as hundreds of colorful swords suddenly pierced him from the inside out, bleeding profusely.
This was a new series of swordsmanship techniques.
Yes, my own Martial Arts were still evolving!
Myriad Self Arts.
Myriad Blades.
Combine!
RUMBLE!
Starlight, celestial energy, and demonic power fused within my soul.
Then, my soul took the shape of a sword, dividing into dozens, hundreds, and thousands of swords.
“{Myriad Soul Blade Arts}: {First Form – Myriad Star Blade Tomb}!”
A tomb of one thousand starlight swords pierced Vulcanus’ soul and body.
He could not resist, his soul cracking, too weakened by the power of the judgment.
Just like Uroboros, something that should be impossible.
Was just right.
“Great...! Great Mother! Please save me...! AAAHHHH!”
BOOOMMM!!!
Calling for Tiamat’s help, Vulcanus screamed like a child and exploded.
His entire Domain trembled as his soul avatar dissipated into nothingness.
Vulcanus was dead!
Normally, I can’t gather him if he isn’t in front of me.
Well, yes, “normally.”
“{Myriad Self} + {Mass Gathering}!”
Channeling my power to his world through that attack, I used Mass Gathering, and his entire body and soul began appearing inside my inventory.
“Vulcanus?!”
However.
“Huh?!”
I felt immense pressure towering above the Myriad Self I had left there.
A gigantic being I couldn’t discern was watching down.
Immense and all-powerful.
Ah, his mother had come.
“VULCANUS!!!”
With a scream of horror upon seeing her child die, she rushed toward my presence.
“Just who...! Who are YOU?! How...! How DARE a low-dimensional insect KILL my son?!”
“Okay, time to leave.”
FLASH!
I pulled out a second before she could catch me.
I sighed in relief, resting on the ground as we all processed what had happened.
“W-We killed him, right?” Hilda asked.
“Yeah!” I said, exhaling in relief.
“I can’t believe we did it!” Annabelle celebrated.
“Wow… this was easier than I thought?!” Baihe asked.
“Don’t think it’s always this easy. We were lucky,” Kevin said, also exhaling in relief with a smile.
“Oh wow… that was quite something,” Henrietta said, breathing out in relief.
“Ugh… damn it, she almost caught me,” I said.
“She?” Jack wondered.
“Tiamat,” I said.
“…!” His eyes widened.
“I got a little greedy and tried to grab his corpse. I managed to get his upper body and half of his soul fragments,” I said. “It’s good enough.”
“You idiot! Why did you risk so much?!” Jack said angrily. “You could have died!”
“I’m sorry…” I apologized. “Anyway, we won, right? So let’s not get angry and celebrate—but first, this is mine.”
“What’s yours?” Baihe asked.
“This whole volcanic world,” I smiled.
With a snap of my fingers, a giant portal to my realm manifested, pulling this entire place, and all of us, inside.
FLUOSH!
