I couldn’t just say that my “spells” were actually just “machines” or something, as that would make things more complicated to explain. So I dubbed them all as “my magic” and was done with it. Of course, this was the most basic use of this Skill, and it barely showcased the power of my new Class, the [Celestial Gestalt], which, to be honest, I was still trying to figure out.

“Come on, shoot your spells!” Hilda roared as she took out a sword made of blue steel and embedded with blue jewels, infusing Mana into it and then swinging it down.

“{Frost Hawk Feather Slash}!”

The sword indeed had the shape of a wing, or perhaps a giant metallic feather. As Hilda swung the sword, slashes of freezing Mana were released, impacting the incoming swarm of Kamikaze Beasts and freezing them before they could explode, making them shatter into pieces without any explosions.

“Ice seems terribly good against them!” Annabelle said. “Baihe, it’s your time to shine again!”

“I got it!” Baihe said. “I’m ready now!”

She had just finished conjuring a new Spell, as dozens of magic circles floated around her body and then activated, fusing with her Draconic Mana to conjure small dragon heads made of ice, which also floated around her.

Huh? What was this spell? It was so cool!

“{Frost Dragon Skull Choir}!”

Baihe’s eyes glowed with blue light as the dragon skulls made of ice opened their jaws, roaring in unison, creating a melodic yet wild choir of roars, which released a wave of freezing winds, clashing against the Kamikaze Beasts and pushing them down.

FLUOOOSH!

Ice crystals started growing over their bodies until they froze and then fell to the ground, shattering into pieces and prompting several other dynamite trees to explode in quick succession, which brought more monsters.

“Here come the big ones!” I said. “Watch out! Violet, Snow, fight back! Shiro, make sure to heal everyone and stay close to us!”

As I commanded my Familiars, Violet started fighting while still making sure to carry us safely. He roared mightily, opening his jaws and biting through the giant claws of the wyvern-like Kamikaze Beasts, tearing their arms apart or biting their wings, making them fall one by one.

Snow had it easier, though, as he simply let out loud howls and roars, releasing waves of freezing winds and ice shards, overwhelming the swarms of Kamikaze Beasts coming toward us while slowing down the big ones.

And Baihe…

“Keep firing!”

She commanded her Frost Dragon Skull Choir, as there were now over twelve of them rotating around her body, opening their jaws to fire beams of ice flames, bombarding the nearby monsters that got too close to us. Her frozen flames not only nullified their blazing bodies but also stopped them from combusting, becoming a huge help.

“I think we can stop them from exploding with Snow and Hilda!” Baihe said. She was sweating and pushing herself to her limits right now. “But we can’t quite finish off the big ones. Please do so!”

“Leave it to us!” I nodded. “Bro, let’s go!”

“Alright,” Jack nodded, his body encompassed in a black wolf armor as he jumped into the skies with me, spreading his black feathered wings.

With my brother, we charged forward, using each half of Gram as we sliced through obstacles with rapid and masterful swings of our swords. We were almost synchronized, and yet our powers were so different from one another and were total opposites

While my brother’s powers were driven by darkness, shadows, and beastly wrath, my powers were primarily of light and pink love, I guess? I could also use my dark side, the Cursed Seals, but I didn’t see the point right now. With what I was doing, it was enough.

“{Thousand Blades} + {Sunlight Blades}: {Celestial Blade Rain}!”

I combined my Celestial Rain with both of these Skills, creating a wondrous spectacle as I moved my sword and swords of light emerged, bombarding my foes and exploding, shining brightly like rain made of light.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Was this even swordsmanship anymore? I had reached a level where it was pretty much complete magic, and yet it used all the powers that swordsmanship did, such as physical strength and Ki, to grow even further beyond mere Magic.

My brother rapidly unleashed his own techniques, powerful swordsmanship attacks that created explosions of darkness and countless slashes with a single swing of his blade.

“ROOOAARR!”

However, more creatures approached, pushing through the corpses of their brethren as their half-frozen bodies were constantly releasing explosive flames toward us.

Alright, time to get a little more serious. Let’s apply the power of the Heavenly Flames of Hope and also a tiny bit of my Cosmic Power.

The blazing claws drew closer, tearing through my Aura. The oppressive Draconic Mana intoxicated my Energy and weakened it.

But it was too late.

“{Celestial Blade Rain Echo}: {Starlight Slash Nebula}!”

I spread my Aura and then continued my attack, creating a combo of countless slashing attacks that spread around each blade of light. This created a cosmic spectacle, as each attack resembled a star coming from another direction, slashing through the bodies of dozens of monsters at once, slicing their limbs one by one and ultimately shredding them into pieces.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

But that wasn’t all.

“GRAAAAHHHH!”

As a large, bulky Kamikaze Beast rushed toward me, its crystals glowing and about to detonate, moving through Baihe’s range and managing to sneak up on us, I released all of the accumulated energy within the nebula-like technique I had unleashed. All the slashing attacks, resembling stars, concentrated at a single point.

This was the power of Echoes, special and powerful techniques only usable right after another. Often, they could be created instantly by combining the technique used with another or another skill.

And now I would show Vulcanus that I was not an “inferior primate.”
