This movie was hilarious, sad, and heartwarming all at the same time! Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon are so great together, and Burgess Meredith had some ICONIC lines! Enjoy!

Cute movie, and thereβs also apparently a decent musical version too that still has local productions today (thereβs a Naples, FL production of it this January for instance.) π

2025-11-19 04:23:22 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. For more comedy, try My Favorite Year (1982), Arthur (1981) or Secondhand Lions (2003). Legendary actors in each - and arguably the best actor to play a drunk in Arthur by Dudley Moore...(gotta shout out to Foster Brooks tho). IMO My Favorite Year is one of the best comedies from the 80's, if not all time. And to see Michael Caine and Robert Duvall playing brothers from Texas was a delight in Secondhand Lions.
