Sean Connery Bond poll!
Added 2025-07-31 16:00:14 +0000 UTCI went ahead and watched Dr. No this week because it's the one that started it all, but vote in this poll to show me what Sean Connery Bond reactions you want to see! You are not limited to one vote on this poll, and I'm using this poll to see what movies you're interested in seeing a reaction to. Depending on the votes, I might watch a couple, or I might watch them all! Just a reminder that I'm planning on watching these movies at a slower pace, and I won't be watching these movies every week.
If Diamonds are Forever gets a lot of votes, I'll watch On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) with George Lazenby first since he only had the one Bond movie.

2025-08-02 15:22:27 +0000 UTCOn Her Majesty's Secret Service is highly underrated in my opinion. I think it is one of the few movies in the series, at least during this era, that showed the he is still a fallible human. George was always on a hiding to nothing being the first 'non-Sean Connery' James Bond in the canon movies and a lot of the criticism of the movie seems to be more about that than the shortcomings of the movie or George's portrayal. Neither are perfect of course, but there are quite a few that are worse in the series including one in the Daniel Craig era that is the only one in the series I would rate as a 'Nope, never again' watch. FYI, I should note that I could be a little biased. George is an Australian like me so it might have a little something to do with it, maybe... :)
