I knew before you watched it that this wasn't going to be to your taste, but I can't help but love it. I love it because it's so EARNEST. It may be campy and cheesy and VERY '80s, and the acting is kinda all over the place, but it's never laughing at itself (Or laughing at the audience). This is like a high school play where every is giving 110%. it may not be Broadway, but by gum I can feel and respect the effort. One reason Clancy brown took the role of Mr. Krabs was to be able to be the good guy for once (relatively speaking). His entire live-action career is almost nothing but villains or creeps and he's talked about how he wants to be a nice guy.
