A KNIGHT'S TALE - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to the Theatrical Release of A Knight's Tale, the winner of this month's spinning wheel! I loved this one SO MUCH!! I knew this would be a comedy, but I didn't expect this movie to be so touching as well! There were lots of laughs AND tears! Enjoy!

I can see from your comments that I missed the end credit scene! I'll record it and add it to the YT cut :) Thank you for letting me know!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this, Addie! It was a joy to watch it with you.

Insufferable Smartypants

Rufus Sewell was a great villain with some savage burns BTW the phrase 'Going to see a man about a dog' is a just a euphemism anytime you've got to go and do something, without going into any specific details

Milton William Burray

Read Chaucer

I think it's so low-rated because of people like my cousin and his girlfriend. Went to see this in theatres, and as soon as the movie started playing a rock song, they both got up and left because it was "not very authentic."

Oh no. Which one are you watching? The musical version or the theatrical cut?

Philip Davetas

The scene where he reunites with his dad? I tear up every time.

Fun film with a solid cast. πŸ™‚ I'm surprised it's only 59% on Rotten Tomatoes, it feels more like a 75% or so to me, it's not going in my top movies of all time list or anything but it's a good time. (And yeah, any time I see Alan Tudyk I'm pretty sure it'll be a good time if only for that!)

Next time you watch this movie, watch the post credit scene. It's a gas!

Lawrence Gibson

Looooooooooooooooooove this movie. Saw this one in theaters, on a whim, because I had just seen Heath Ledger (whose name I didn't quite know yet) in The Patriot, with Mel Gibson. And I thought, 'Hey, I liked that guy in that movie that I thought was just okay, so let's go and see this one.' Just every once in a while I am accidentally, and very slightly, wise. Amen.

Steve Mercier

You missed the post-credit scene πŸ˜„.

100%!!

the scene where Geoff introduces Will at the sword ring for the first time, says all this stuff about how awesome Will is and the crowd just kinda stands there, the extras didn't speak english and didn't realize that was when they were supposed to cheer, so Roland and Wat start cheering and THEN the crowd joins in. It worked so well they kept it in the final cut. The film is set in 1356, which would have made Chaucer only 13 and the black prince would have been 26. I don't think Paul Bettany LOOKED 13 in this one, nor was chaucer already FAMOUS as a writer by that age. The real black prince had a serious disdain for commoners, so there was some, shall we say, creative liberties taken with his character as well. The book of the duchess was written by chaucer in 1368, some 12 years after the events of the film, so there is NO WAY William and company could have heard of it.

Addie you have to admit. Its crazy to think after watching this movie that THIS guy played Joker. An entire different contrast. RIP Heath Ledger.

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 I've been looking forward to this one ever since it won the monthly 'spinning wheel' movie. This is easily one of my favorite Heath Ledger films. Such a great performance right along with his "Dark Knight" performance as The Joker. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. For more Heath Ledger, I highly recommend the 2005 "The Brothers Grimm". Have a great day today! 😊

Happy Wednesday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed A Knight's Tale (2001). The concept of a medieval epic with a comedic twist sounds like a lot of fun here. I own the extended cut of the movie on DVD and I plan to watch it when I have time. See you on Friday for (laughs) Batman & Robin (1997). BTW, my favorite Heath Ledger performance is The Joker in The Dark Knight (2008). He REALLY had you on edge there.

Great film! Looking forward to watching your reaction!
