Kudos for recognizing that scene that the Hangover did indeed pay homage to.

Yep. It sounds very tribal too. And speaking of Hans Zimmer, the last movie that she watched that has his music is Megamind (2010). I also have several movies that I would love to see Addie watch that has a Hans Zimmer soundtrack: Black Rain (1989), Bird on a Wire (1990), Days of Thunder (1990), Backdraft (1991), Drop Zone (1994), Crimson Tide (1995), Broken Arrow (1996), The Fan (1996), The Peacemaker (1997), The Thin Red Line (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Tears of the Sun (2003), King Arthur (2004), Dunkirk (2017), Widows (2018), The Creator (2023), and the upcoming F1 (2025). #MoreHansZimmerForAddieCounts

It's funny, I always loved the Rain Man soundtrack but I never realized it was Hans Zimmer, no wonder it's so good! πŸ˜„

You can't beat it. Powerful story telling which seems a little lacking of late in resent films with the rinse and repeat cash cow studios. Hope to see some more greats soon. Take care all πŸ˜ƒ

One of the supporting cast recently divulged what it was like for her first time on screen in "Rain Man". She's absolutely precious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAXrI6QraJk

Speaking of Barry Levinson, I also suggest Young Sherlock Holmes (1985), Sleepers (1996), and The Alto Knights (2025). #MoreBarryLevinsonForAddieCounts

A few other trivia tidbits: - Dustin Hoffman was originally considered to play Charlie, with Bill Murray playing Ray. - the doctor interviewing Ray at the end is indeed Barry Levinson himself. - the woman at the farm house whom Charlie asks to watch The People's Court in their house is played by Beth Grant, whom you've previously seen as Llewelyn's mother-in-law in "No Country for Old Men" and Helen (the woman on the bus who got blown up after trying to get off) in "Speed."

Speaking of The Outsiders (1983), I STRONGLY recommend The Complete Novel cut from 2005. #TheOutsidersTheCompleteNovelForAddieCounts

When the audio from a meltdown Tom Cruise had several years ago leaked, all I could think of was the 'Underwear is underwear!' rant from this movie. 😏 For more Dustin Hoffman, I highly recommend "The Graduate," "Midnight Cowboy," "Little Big Man," "Straw Dogs," "Papillon," "Lenny," "All the President's Men," "Marathon Man," "Straight Time," "Kramer Vs. Kramer," "Tootsie," and "Wag the Dog" (also directed by Barry Levinson). For more Barry Levinson, I'd recommend "Diner," "The Natural," "Tin Men," "Avalon," "Bugsy," the aforementioned "Wag the Dog," and "Liberty Heights." On a side note, my brother-in-law's younger brother is autistic, and seems to be just as high maintenance as Ray in this film. He rarely sleeps and is constantly on the move. I definitely wonder what's going to happen when his parents can no longer genuinely care for him. πŸ˜•

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 I love this movie so much! Easily one of my favorite Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman films. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening, with tissues. For more Dustin Hoffman, I very highly recommend the 1982 "Tootsie". And for more Tom Cruise, I very highly recommend the 1983 "The Outsiders". Have a great day today! 😊

One for Phill, whoop whoop. Thank you Addie 😜

Happy Wednesday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Rain Man (1988). This is one of my favorite Tom Cruise movies and my favorite dramatic movie of his alongside Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999). I even own this movie on DVD and it includes both Widescreen (1.85:1) & Full Screen (1.33:1) versions, the latter is in open matte. BTW, this was Hans Zimmer's VERY FIRST film score.
