A QUIET PLACE - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to A Quiet Place! This movie was PHENOMENAL! I never thought I would say this about a horror movie, but I actually loved this one! John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are incredible in this, and I was blown away by the kids too! Enjoy!

There are so many shots of Emily Blunt's feet in these movies you'd think Quentin Tarantino directed them... 🀨

Watching this in the theater you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was on the edge of their seats the whole movie.

I underestimated the premise of this movie and I truly enjoyed it when I watched it. When part two came out I went opening night and it was…. The chances of you watching the second movie this October are slim to none. Maybe after the start of the new year? But if you choose to see it for next October it will be worth the wait.

See? Maybe you were a bit too harsh in your judgments of the horror genre. Sure, there is the occasional scare, but more than anything these films try to tug at the heartstrings. I'm going to suggest you watch Hereditary, which is a touching movie about the love a family shares across generations. {Haha, nearly got through that straight-faced}

As much of a Marvel fan as I am, Infinity War was not my favorite film of 2018. Of all of the top-tier films I saw that year (Roma, Green Book, A Star is Born, Into the Spider-Verse, etc), A Quiet Place really, really blew me away. I genuinely think it was the best movie of that year. None of the others really affected me in the way this one did. It's sort of like Interstellar. Sure, we're dealing with a huge sci-fi premise, but what makes these two films work so well for me, is the heaviness of what the characters are carrying. It's. A. Lot!

This is more like a suspense/thriller movie. I like that they did not rely on the jump scares, and did it more like Hitchcock where you know what is going to happen, but have to live through the suspense leading up to it. I had watched one like this that was a Netflix movie, so for all these years when I would see it show up on streaming I just assumed it was the one I had seen already. I am glad I decided to do this watch along with you, and that it was not the one I had seen. This was much better, although I wish Zachary Levi could have survived. :(

I think the wound the dad initially took MAY have been mortal anyway. I don't think anyone left the water on. It looked like a pipe was damaged. There are two other movies and we get neither names for the creatures nor real origins. Maybe they'll make a 4th movie and give more background.

"BABY... BABY... BABY... If I can ask for anything... it's just this one thing... PLEASE BE QUIET!". πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Nice one! Tall order though, newborns aren't particularly well-known for their supreme powers of silence. 😳

I like that strategy... bait them with sound then kill 'em with noxious fumes. πŸ˜†

I think of this as a science fiction movie, not a horror movie. If you're going to call it "horror", then I'll admit that it's one of the few that I enjoy! (Very much like _Alien_, which some classify as science fiction, and others as horror.)

Phil Stubblefield

Also liked his Jack Ryan series on Amazon Prime, in which he starred and produced. I know (sigh)... everybody and their brother has tried doing a Jack Ryan in one form or another, but I think this one is much better. πŸ˜ƒ

You never know, that could be a fatal weakness of the creatures also! 🌫🌫🚫🀣

Well, that'll be the last time I ever watch that, it's just suspense up to 11 the whole damn time. Addie, it's very interesting that you felt right away it was your fave horror movie. A couple things bugged me: she saw that it was a nail in the stairs right away, why didn't she drop the laundry for a minute & find a (quiet) way to extract it right away, it's obviously a big danger! C'mon, 24/7 survival instincts & you didn't stop to get rid of that nai!?!? Also, the dad could've picked up the axe before he screamed so he could give the beast a fatal blow on approach. He might've survived! 😳 Oh, & who left the damn water on? It didn't look like mom did earlier...πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Also, I hope the other movies explain what these creatures are & where they came from, it's weird to have the whole world devastated out of the blue by creatures we've never seen before. It better be a good explanation 😀 Take care Addy, you're so nice to spend time with! ⏲️ πŸ’–

Man, I am very gassy as a person. Id die like day one.

Thats MR. Baldamort

Another John Krasinski movie that I also suggest is 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), directed by Michael Bay, who produced this movie and directed The Rock (1996) & Armageddon (1998). #13HoursForAddieCounts

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 This is such a great movie. Not only do I watch this every Halloween season since it's been out, but it's one that I love to watch just for fun. I do highly recommend(if you want to watch them for next Halloween)the sequel "A Quiet Place 2" and the prequel movie that just came out this year "A Quiet Place: Day One". Have a great day today, and a great weekend! 😊

Let's give Addie a round of applause for surviving A Quiet Place (2018)! πŸ‘πŸ‘ Happy Friday. I'm so glad that you actually enjoyed this as your FAVORITE horror movie. It's even one of mine too, but it's also my ALL-TIME favorite John Krasinski movie. I even saw it in the theater on Earth Day 2018, with my dad. You should watch Part Two (2020) & Day One (2024), next year. #MoreAQuietPlaceForAddieCounts
