BLADE - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to Blade! This one was SO MUCH FUN (but ohhhh soooo bloody). I should've expected it, but I had no idea there would be THAT much blood haha. I don't have plans to watch the sequels; I just wanted to watch this one to get familiar with this character. Enjoy!

Dances with Wolves steel book is waiting for me at the locker!!!

Randolph Tirazona

And Blade 3 litterally has tie-ins to a future MCU movie.

Bryan Fritchie

Well, as someone who's never had any interest in the MCU, I guess I rest my case, then. Like Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios really just needs to get their shit together before going any further, if they don't want to keep losing money and/or fans. Captain America 4 and their attempted "Blade" reboot have both gone through incredibly troubled production shoots. That can't be a good omen for either movie once they finally come out. Of course, at least Marvel once had a successful formula, whereas the new Lucasfilm regime didn't fundamentally understand Star Wars, Indiana Jones, or Willow from the start (or, perhaps even worse, they didn't actually care). 🤷‍♂️

How DARE!!!

Addie Counts

I am :)

I just have 0 interest in MCU shows at all at this point, I wouldn't even click on the video to watch it. I will watch these Blade movies and Fantastic 4 that addie has planned before Deadpool 3 but that about it.

Since it's coming up, I would recommend, if you intend to watch it at all, that you watch Agatha All Along on your own... or, at most, make it a Patreon exclusive. There's been absolutely zero buzz for this series online, and I'd hate to see you waste your time editing down each episode for YT only to see them do just as poorly as - if not even more so than - your Secret Invasion reactions have over there. 🤔

Byrd N. Hand

Are you wearing a The Midnight shirt in this video? I love them!

Jay Robert

Blade and Men in Black were the movies that really got me to believe comic book films would eventually be done with at least some degree of genuine reverence for the source material. Then, when X-Men opened with the Holocaust (my first midnight screening EVER!), my teenaged jaw was on the floor.

Darian Harman

Agreed, for the most part. I'd never seen To Wong Foo, and my girlfriend showed it to me earlier this year. Yes, I cried.

Darian Harman

Yep, this film had a big blood-get. 😄 ... erm, anyway, Blade II is on par with this one if you do watch the series. Blade III isn't as good but it does have Ryan Reynolds in it who definitely "Ryan Reynolds" it up so that's a plus! If you're looking for other decent Wesley Snipes movies, White Men Can't Jump is a fun comedy with him and Woody Haralson. And Demolition Man is a good sci-fi action flick with him as the bad guy going against Sylvester Stalone. He also had supporting roles in the comedies Dolemite Is My Name and Major League and the 1990 crime film King of New York.

Doug

Great reaction. BTW that wasn't his serum that he used on Frost at the end. That was EDTA. Karen showed Blade that it destroys vampire blood so he used it.

SavageDiplomat

Not related to the reaction but James Earl Jones Passed away today. It was fun seeing Addie love every character he played when she watched a movie with him in it. I want encourage Addie to watch "Field of Dreams" in honor of this amazing actor. I think its one of his most memorable roles.

Thats MR. Baldamort

You should definitely see Blade 2. It's even better. But brace yourself. It's also just as if not more gruesome.

DM DC

Stan Lee made a cameo in Blade (playing one of the cops that discovered Quinn's burning body in the beginning) but director Stephen Norrington cut the scene out. How dare he?? 🤬

Mr. Writhms

Anyone ever watch a movie six times in the theater? Well that was me in 1998 when Blade came out. Hell, I even bought the novelization 📖

Julian San

I love this movie, but I also love all Wesley Snipes movies. It is my humble opinion that you cannot go wrong watching anything with Wesley Snipes, even the bad movies he is just so much fun to watch.

Hopefully she does a poll regarding the remaining franchises that she's put on hold so we can decide which one she must continue.

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I've been looking forward to watching this one since you mentioned you were going to watch it. Such a good movie. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. For more Wesley Snipes I highly recommend the 1998 "U.S. Marshals". And for more Kris Kristofferson I very highly recommend the 1976 "A Star is Born". Have a great day today! 😊

Randee Carreno

I think she's still working through Mission: Impossible & Planet of the Apes.

Alex Tan

Speaking of Wesley Snipes, I also suggest New Jack City (1991), Jungle Fever (1991), White Men Can't Jump (1992), Passenger 57 (1992), Rising Sun (1993), Demolition Man (1993), Sugar Hill (1993), Drop Zone (1994), To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995), Money Train (1995), The Fan (1996), Murder at 1600 (1997), One Night Stand (1997) and U.S. Marshals (1998). #MoreWesleySnipesForAddieCounts

The 2nd movie is most people's favorite, it's furthers the characters backs story and you get to understand more of his motivations and character development, but at least she gets a taste of Blade before Deadpool and wolverine.

Thats MR. Baldamort

The second one is better than the first.

Joe Mallard

Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Blade (1998), despite how bloody it was. In other words, I can say that you had some bloody fun with this movie. I'm definitely watching this when I get back from my vacation.
