MY COUSIN VINNY - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to My Cousin Vinny! This was SO FUN, and Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei are so great in this! Enjoy!

Sooooo I am a lil sniffly in this reaction. I ended up taking a covid test after recording to be safe, and it was positive. I'm feeling worse today, but I hope to be back recording soon! I have a reaction ready to be posted Monday, but the rest of next week might get a lil funky depending on when I'm able to record again. Thank you for understanding!!

MY COUSIN VINNY - Full Length Reaction!

Comments

So, this is the probably the most random comment you'll receive for a long time, because it has almost nothing to do with the movie. Years ago, when I was about 13, I was playing a card game with friends. There was a card in my deck that allowed me to pick any one word, and each time someone said that word, they would take 2 damage. I chose the word "I". When the lawyer with the stutter was talking it reminded me of that specific game. Because in the game, my friend was taking his turn, and he said: "Okay, first I..." and then realizing he had just taken two damage, his brain shut down on him, because he immediately went: "I-I mean, I just... I, I, I, I, I.... I just killed myself." More on topic, I'm sorry you were under the weather. I know you must be feeling better by now, since I'm way behind on watching reactions right now. Or at least I certainly hope you're better!

This is such a fun movie! 😄 And one of the great things is that, even though it's a very funny film and Vinny did a pretty bad job with his opening statements and getting in hot water with the judge early on, his performance questioning the witnesses is so well done that actual lawyers sometimes use it for examples of strategies for law students (e.g. keep the answers short and to the point, related the answers to the jurors' real life experiences, preparation is vital, etc). -- Also, sorry to read that you're "Closed For Flu", Addie. 🙁 Hope you feel better soon!

there's a reason Marisa Tomei is still GOATed to this day and it all starts with this film

I always loved that they got Fred Gwynne to play the judge. The director never even heard of The Munsters, and liked Fred Gwynne from more serious works. So when he said he wanted him, people were like "really?" He was so perfect for this role. He unfortunately passed away around the time the movie released. RIP Fred Gwynne. :(

Such a fun movie! My ex-wife and I saw this at the drive in, because we could bring our own pizza and soda, and we loved it so much we stayed through the second feature to watch it again. I love this movie. I always loved how much respect he shows Mrs. Riley in the court room.

I'll add "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" and "The Wrestler" for Tomei, "Raging Bull" and "Casino" for Pesci, and "The Outsiders" for Macchio (it annoys me that he pronounces his last name 'MAH-chee-oh' rather than the proper Italian pronunciation of 'MAH-kyoh' 🤔).

I ... *claps hands* ... dentical! Get plenty of rest and I hope you feel better soon, Addie!

I knew you'd love it! Take care, and take time to recover.

Speaking of Marisa Tomei, I also suggest The Paper (1994), also with Michael Keaton. #ThePaperForAddieCounts

Joe Pesci, goes from the guy robbing people in home alone to saving a couple of kids from getting robbed of their life in My Cousin Vinny. Simply poetic.

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 First of all, sending you lots of healing vibes!!! So glad that you enjoyed this movie. It's one of my favorite Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, and Ralph Macchio films. Fun Fact: Marisa Tomei won the 'Best Supporting Actress' Academy Award for this role in 1993. My plan is to watch this reaction later this afternoon, and maybe a few more times over the weekend. LOL! For more Joe Pesci: "Casino"(1995) and "With Honors"(1994). For more Marisa Tomei: "Only You"(1994), "Untamed Heart"(1993), and "Chaplin"(1992). And for more Ralph Macchio: The original "Karate Kid" trilogy & the "Cobra Kai" follow-up Netflix series, "The Outsiders"(1983), and "Crossroads"(1986). I hope that you get to feeling better. And get plenty of rest this weekend. 😊

I'll have to take a look at this again because Devon Stone said this movie is legit and he's a real lawyer. I never liked it, but I think that was due to my ignorance of the law which I am now very familiar with like an old, but yet, gentle lover.

Get well Addie there's a new Covid variant here in the UK spending like mad. I hope to be traveling to Iceland and the North Cape in a few weeks and just hope I can still get out for a month. 😀

When I got COVID in May 2022, your reaction videos on YouTube and the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut (1999) proved to be good medicine for me. Hopefully you'll watch that movie soon. #SouthParkBiggerLongerAndUncutForAddieCounts

Priority one: Take good care of yourself and feel better! We're not going anywhere! And I hope the laughter you got from watching this movie proved to be good medicine! 🤣

Hope you feel better soon. I'm glad you tested yourself - you protect others by being aware of your temporary illness.

Take all the time you need to feel better and fully recover. The content can wait!

Billy Dancel

Love this movie. I'll definitely be watching this one!

Happy Friday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed My Cousin Vinny (1992) and this is one movie that I should definitely check out. BTW, I do hope that you get well soon. EDIT: And hopefully, the reaction that drops on Monday is Mission: Impossible 2 (2000).

Alex Tan

Get healthy! We will be here when you get back :)
