I figured I should watch the movie beforehand! I didn't love this one, but I imagine the effects were mind-blowing when it came out. I've heard amazing things about the sequel, so I'm excited to watch that one soon! Enjoy!

I watching this movie so many times as a kid, I wore out my aunts SelectaVision disc. That’s right! I watched movies on vinyl! It was a thing!

2024-05-02 23:50:17 +0000 UTCIn 1982, the special effects in this movie were amazing. My 14yo mind was completely blown away. However, the Motion Picture Academy refused to consider it for the Best Visual Effects award because computer-generated graphics were "cheating". The award instead went to ET, a way better movie but not remotely in the same league for special effects.
