CREED - Full Length Reaction!

Comments

Yes, it would be nice if she reacted to some more pre-'70s movies (she's only done "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Psycho" so far). Along with "Casablanca," "12 Angry Men" is probably the most reacted-to pre-'70s movie on YT. But I'm shocked there aren't more reactions to films like "The Bridge on the River Kwai," "Lawrence of Arabia," "On the Waterfront," "The Hustler," "Cool Hand Luke," "Bonnie and Clyde," In the Heat of the Night," "The Graduate," "Sunset Boulevard," "The Red Shoes," or "Rebecca," among others.

Another movie in the series where they used actual boxing folk. Ricky Conlan was played by Tony Bellew, who had a pretty decent record. I can't remember if he ever won a champion belt. Danny Wheeler was played by Andre Ward, who was one hell of a fighter. He retired as the undefeated light heavyweight champ, he was the last American Olympic gold medal winner in boxing, and he only had 5 losses as an amateur (with over 100 wins). I dunno if I'd put him on my top-10-greatest list but he easily makes my top-25.

I just finished watching my 8th reaction to 1957s '12 Angry Men' and once again the consensus in not merely that it's great, but one of their favorite movies of all time, top 5/10... just saying, hint hint...

I thought they used too much close ups during the fight scenes. I prefered the wider angle camera shots from the previous movies.

I love the fight choreography in the Creed movies. It's much more realistic. You can tell they got someone who really knows boxing to work out the fights. I have nothing against Stallone's fight choreography in the old movies though. Hats off to him for doing it himself. I'm just saying it's an improvement in the Creed series. This movie deals out all the feels of the first "Rocky", for me. Killmonger and Valkyrie make a cute couple. ;)

Nothing better than a Monday morning with Addie in her Rocky shirt.

Holy crap this movie feels different with Carl Westhers not with us.

This is sooner than expected, I can't wait!

Joe Mallard

This hits different with Carl Weathers having passed on.

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I've been looking forward to the "Creed" portion of the Rocky/Creed series. I love this movie so much! Fun Fact #1: Sylvester Stallone won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his amazing performance in this movie. I love Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson in this movie! Fun Fact #2: The scene when Adonis gets knocked out, and "gets up like a man possessed" was Michael B. Jordan taking a real punch. The story goes: Sylvester Stallone wanted Michael B. Jordan to take a real punch as part of his initiation into the world of Rocky. And when Sly looked at footage, he suggested to director Ryan Coogler that Michael B. Jordan take a real punch. It was supposed to have been a light punch, but it didn't end up that way. There's interviews with Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan having fun talking about that moment during promotion of the movie. And Stallone even stated that he, Carl Weathers, and even Dolph Lundgren(Drago in Rocky 4) all took real hits when filming the movies. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction either later this evening or even this afternoon. Have a great day today! 😊

Happy Monday, Addie. Let the Creed journey begin. See you soon for Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). That movie will make you smile after this one made you cry.
