But as soon as he had to play a thirty-something warlord Bjorn, I thought he was bad. He's constantly overacting. He's the worst actor among Ragnar's children actors. You can tell he's PLAYING a strong man named Bjorn where Travis Fimmel WAS Ragnar. Ecbert is a brilliant character. He's riddled with contradictions. So much morality, yet so much hubris, so much lust, so much vanity, and ultimately so much self-doubt. He's a Western leader in all his glory xD I couldn't care less about Athelwulf. Ecbert doesn't like him, and I understand why. His constant need to be falsely "perfect" makes him bland and detestable. As Ragnar had told him, "I don't like you"

2026-01-19 22:21:25 +0000 UTCKing Horik was the one we got introduced to in season 2 and who Ragnar then killed for treason because he was plotting against him, Floki was a double agent, they left his son alive who then got shot by Torvi :) Harald and Halfdan are ruthless, definitely gotta be cautious when dealing with them :P ye back in the day they were more lets say open minded in regards to relationships :D the way they put that sacrificial scene together with the sex scene was hilarious, they synced up the penetration perfectly xD loved that heart to heart between Ecbert and Aethelwulf that was a great scene :) the reveal of the Great Heathen Army was very well done, its like they took a page from Lord of the Rings book :D according to the historical records the size of this army was around 3000 men :) it is hard to determine what was fact and what were just tales, the way they are portraying it here is based on Norse legends, some sources state that Ivar was indeed the leader of this army :) the blood eagle was quite the fitting end for Aelle :D
