2026-01-05 15:44:10 +0000 UTCOh; if you're complaining about this cliffhanger, you aren't ready for the rest of the series XD You keep talking about how Ed and Mustang need to hurry up, but this is one of those unfortunate "anime timing" things: Everything happening between all three groups is supposed to be happening at the same time as each other, and pretty much all of it is taking place within about 15 minutes. I always took what Oliver said to the soldiers about following vs mindlessness is that at it's core it's about knowing who you are and that you get to choose who to follow of your own volition. It's okay, sometimes even necessary to follow the orders of someone, but theres a difference between going "I am putting my complete faith in you because I feel I can trust you", and "I don't know what I'm doing here, so I'll just follow the first person that comes around to give me orders." (Izumi being right next to her is a good example; Ed and Al didn't just blindly do what she said, but because they choose her to be the one they wanted to teach them, they trusted that what she was making them do was in their best interest)
