I loved that you almost smiled throughout.

I don't know if you know this or not, but there was a "sequel" made for "Love Actually". It was part of a Red Nose Day charity event. It is about 15-20 minutes long and shows what has happened to most of the characters. It aired on the BBC and here on NBC in the US. If you liked this movie, "Playing By Heart" should be next. A similar collection of great interconnected love stories.

Jane Harker

I've only seen bits and pieces of it, but, dare I say it, it's almost like porn for hopeless romantics at times. 🀐

Man. Every woman I dated loves this movie. I think I saw this at a very cynical time in my life that it never fully kicked in for me. Oddly, the story I liked the most was the Billy Mack and his producer stuff.

Philip Davetas

I feel as though you got a teensy bit of a late start on these holiday movies this year; otherwise, you would've probably also been able to get this up on YT before the end of the month. Oh, well.

Favorite fun movie fact: All of the scenes in the beginning and ending of the movie of people being reunited at the airport are real people and their genuine reactions. They secretly filmed them and got their permission afterwards. I have always enjoyed when the real world is interjected into fictional films.

Speaking of Richard Curtis, who directed this movie & About Time (2013), I also suggest Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Bean (1997), Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007), Notting Hill (1999), Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) and The Boat That Rocked (2009), all of which he wrote. #MoreRichardCurtisForAddieCounts

Always been a big fan of this film hence why I kept banging on about it. You made my day sharing it and I hope you all loved it. Believe it or not but I've meet Martine McCutcheon (Natalie) a couple of times and she is stunning and a real lady in real life. Thank you Addie 😘

PHILLIP CORNISH

I suggest Planet of the Apes (1968). Charlton Heston is awesome. "Our first Article of Faith tells us that the Almighty created the Ape in his own image; that he gave him a soul and a mind; that he set him apart from all the beasts of the jungle, and made him lord of the planet. These sacred truths are self-evident."

Clay F

that joni mitchell song always makes me burst into tears now like an allergic reaction

Rob Stanley

Speaking of Thomas Sangster, I also suggest The Maze Runner trilogy. #TheMazeRunnerForAddieCounts

Oooooh it sounds like I will LOVE the commentary!!

There's a disturbance in the Force... Padme's decoy married a gorram Alliance operative!

Addie, since you enjoyed this so much, I highly recommend you watch this with the commentary turned on. It’s the director, Hugh Grant, Bill Nighy, and little Thomas Sangster (who they adorably try to distract during all the naked bits). Their stories and jokes are fun and informative about the film.

Ian Forbes

I've watched many of Keira Knightley's movies, both comedies and dramas, period pieces and modern day, and my personal favorite is "Saving a Friend for the End of the World" (2012). It's an apocalyptic tale with a sweet spin. I can't recall if Addie is still editing videos herself or if she found an editor, but she really churns out her reaction videos for Patreon and YouTube at a brisk pace! Thank you!

I'm rhythmically stomping my feet with you on suggesting Oppenheimer (2023). In her Q&A, Addie confirmed that she plans on watching Oppenheimer next month. Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) & Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) should also be in the cards too. #OppenheimerForAddieCounts #Gremlins2ForAddieCounts #LethalWeapon2ForAddieCounts

OMG! You did watch it! YES! Now I just have to wait for work to be over and let the good times roll. Anyone willing to call my work and say you're my doctor and I need to go home for the rest of the day?

Thexx

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 Before this Christmas season it had been awhile since I've seen this movie. And then when a lot of people did this movie for the holiday season it reminded me how much I loved this movie. I'm so glad that you got to watch it. And the cast is amazing! Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. And I very highly recommend "Oppenheimer" and "Gremlins 2: The New Batch". Have a great day today. 😊

Speaking of Keira Knightley, I also suggest King Arthur (2004, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer), Domino (2005, directed by Tony Scott), Everest (2015) & The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018). #MoreKeiraKnightleyForAddieCounts

I've never actually seen this movie. This might be the best way to watch it.

Happy Thursday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Love Actually (2003). I own this movie on DVD in both Widescreen (2.39:1) and Full Screen (1.33:1) formats and I'm definitely watching this either tonight or tomorrow night. BTW, perfect timing for the film's 20th anniversary this year.
