SPEED - Full Length Reaction!

Happy December everyone! I can't believe we're at the end of the year already! Here's our first movie of December.... Speed! This one was so much fun! I loved seeing Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock in a movie together. National Treasure is currently just a couple of votes behind this movie in our last poll, so I'll watch that movie later this month. Enjoy!

Totally different kind of story, but Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock have great chemistry in The Lake House, too.

you can see the rope from the van pulling the first bus that blew up

A movie I would have never watched usually, but loved to watch with you <3 But if you liked it and wanna go for a lil more stylized and intenser action I can recommend Mad Max Fury Road. A movie I have watched plenty of times and still love to watch and go crazy to

I saw this in the theater and I couldn’t stop raving about it to my friends. The baby stroller scene is one of the most gut wrenching fake out I can think of. You made the connection with the guy from Ferris Bueller’s Day off. Another is Jack’s commander, he was Miles Dyson from Terminator 2. I hope you catch it during editing.

This is such a fun movie. It requires quite a bit of suspension of disbelief, but they do a good job of making us not care, and let us just sit back and have fun with the ride.

I gotta say, Sandra Bullock in this movie TOTALLY reminded me of Addie! It was like the Auburn Angel was driving this bus!

(To Addie) Here's some behind the scenes material on the making of the movie: HBO First Look: The Making of Speed https://youtu.be/0nafn_8CSBU?feature=shared On Location https://youtu.be/5AdJhecjKi4?feature=shared Stunts https://youtu.be/T2Ssy3yaYng?feature=shared Visual Effects https://youtu.be/bi3dOP4aMZM?feature=shared

Keanu was also in Much Ado About Nothing (1993), which I've previously recommended. Unfortunately his performance wasn't great, but it was nice to see him attempting it.

This film is a ton of fun. Great reaction! For more Sandra Bullock action/comedy goodness, check out Demolition Man (1993). She's also great in Infamous (2006), Miss Congeniality (2000), and A Time to Kill (1996). Dennis Hopper is in some great films, including Hoosiers (1986), Blue Velvet (1986), and Easy Rider (1969). He was also in Straight to Hell (1987), which was a terrible movie but worth watching because it also had Joe Strummer, Courtney Love, and Shane MacGowan (who passed away yesterday, RIP). Go Wildcats!!!

Yay! I know this will be a fun watch. Also excited for when you get to watch Point Break, Keanu's transition from lovable goofy guy, to lovable action guy!

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 Another Keanu Reeves movie...I love it! And this is another one of my favorite movies of his. Definitely looking forward to watching this one later this evening. And another great movie starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock once again that I highly recommend is the 2006 "The Lake House". Have a great day today & weekend! 😊

That too. #GravityForAddieCounts

"Gravity" is a must. It's probably her best performance.

Byrd N. Hand

The baby carriage bit is still one of the best fakeouts in movie history. 🤭

Happy holiday season, Addie! Great pair of movies to react to. Just remember, probably most of the facts mentioned in National Treasure are made up for the movie, or commonly believed tropes. A few are real though.

You should watch Sandra Bullock again in The Net (1995). #TheNetForAddieCounts

Happy Friday and Happy December, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Speed (1994), although you were watching it in 16:9 pan and scan on Prime. It is my all-time favorite Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock movie. Another Jan de Bont movie that I would love to see you watch soon is Twister (1996) with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt. Alan Ruck, who plays Stephens in this movie and Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), is also in it. #Twister1996ForAddieCounts BTW, nice sweater.
