Remember all the way back at the start of the series when you thought that Armstrong was a secret villain? 😊 Funny enough the manga actually rectifies the whole Selim thing by making it so that the message he was sending was “High Clearance Military Code” and not just basic Morse Code to explain why Al, who only has adjacent knowledge of the military through Ed wouldn’t recognise it. As for the whole legs thing; thats just him doing the same thing that Ed does too. Both of them are more then willing to literally sacrifice their bodies in an attempt to save someone else. Eds almost killed himself 3 times this show doing exactly that. Yeah its not logical, but neither of them think logically when it comes to trying to save someones life.
