In the documentary they said the number was over 100 but they settled on 75 for the movie because no one would believe it. It's a shame we don't let kids in school know these stories and what hero's really are!

We had a guy in Basic Training that would not shower so some of the guys beat him in the middle of the night. He ended up arrested and kicked out of the Army.

Addie! fun fact. The movie portrays him saving over 70 people. That number is wrong, the producers reduced the number from his ACTUAL amount which was over 100 people saved. The producers thought it would seem to unrealistic to put that number in so they reduced it to make it more believable!

Doss fought a losing battle before he saw real combat. The last one down the ridge, Doss was not going to leave Smitty’s body behind and forgotten. This instantly became my favorite scene.

Speaking of Teresa Palmer, who played Dorothy Schutte in this movie and Violet Nottingham in Bedtime Stories (2008) with Adam Sandler, I also suggest The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer) & I Am Number Four (2011, produced by Michael Bay). #MoreTeresaPalmerForAddieCounts

Yep. Mel Gibson directed this movie & Braveheart (1995). BTW, Tick, Tick... Boom! (2021) is a musical that Addie can watch on her own. She usually doesn't watch musicals on her channel. But, another movie with Andrew Garfield that I would love to see her watch is The Social Network (2010). #TheSocialNetworkForAddieCounts

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 I'm so glad that you ended up watching this movie. It's easily one of my top favorite Andrew Garfield movies. And I didn't know until recently that Mel Gibson had directed this one. Looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. I very highly recommend the 2021 Andrew Garfield movie "Tick, Tick...Boom!". Have a great day and weekend! 😊
