Im honeslty kind of shocked Braveheart is doing better than Hacksaw Ridge. I figured people would want to the two true story movies on this poll to win. Glory and Hacksaw are some of the best out there but people love their fantasy i guess. :(

2023-08-15 23:25:10 +0000 UTCGot to be Glory for me. Nice old fashioned movie with solid cast. I've always despised Mel Gibson so stuff him. Kingdom of Heaven and Master & Commander are impressively made. Fury and Hacksaw Ridge are basically Call if Duty with more CGI and an obsession with gore. War-movie wise I'm always going to tout for Big Red One, and maybe even Utu (1983).

2023-08-15 19:29:15 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge is hands down one of the best true stories out there and one of Andrew Garfields best performances 👌 Hope it wins. My grandfather served in the 307th regiment with Dezmond Doss. This is why I hold this movie close to my heart and forever be my memorial day movie to watch. My Grandfather's name is etched in some bricks on our town Square under a statue of some soldiers fighting to hold up the U.S Flag under fire.

2023-08-15 17:06:29 +0000 UTCBraveheart is a great movie, just don't watch it thinking it's even remotely historically accurate (this includes the battle scenes... in fact *especially* the battle scenes).

2023-08-15 16:53:50 +0000 UTCHappy Tuesday, Addie. All are great choices but a Mel Gibson double feature is in your future with Braveheart (1995) & Hacksaw Ridge (2016). #MoreMelGibsonForAddieCounts
