the scenes with Carl stole the movie for me, where the vines took his car, where the doors burst open with the flood. so good

When it comes to Robin Williams, I never miss the chance to see it as soon as possible. We went to the theater the first weekend and had a blast. Jumanji is another movie that I just sat back and enjoyed with you. No notes, just had fun. Kirsten Dunst was in a great movie the year before, 1994, Interview With a Vampire. Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt also starred in that. Not a fan of remakes. Not a fan of the rock. but the account is called Addie Counts Take care of yourself, Addie!! Since you slipped this by me you leave me no choice but to check Patreon every day of the week. I hope you surprise me somehow and post without me knowing. Hello to Ollie too, of course!!

Before checking out the recent sequels, you DEFINITELY need to watch the spin-off sequel that came before, Zathura: A Space Adventure. It's a shame that it doesn't get as much attraction as Jumanji does, either because it's not as well known as Jumanji and/or people consider it to be a quote on quote "rip off" even though it is technically a sequel AND is canon to the whole Jumanji franchise. So please do check out Zathura before watching Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. I think you would enjoy it as much as you enjoyed Jumanji. Very underrated.

I saw the YT notification for this and I was like ??????? How did I miss this? You snuck in a movie on a Saturday? When I wasn't looking?! LOL (before anyone says anything, yes my notifications are on alert) I guess I had a busier Sat than I could remember. I'll be watching tonight after work.

The fact that Alan's mother was played by Patricia Clarkson (Melinda from "The Green Mile") was probably the most surprising aspect of this movie seeing this years later.

RIP always to Robin Williams!!! I can watch any one of his movies, and would always enjoy it. They are all gems. Another fantastic Robin Williams movie that I very highly recommend is the 1991 movie "Hook". 😊

I really like the sequels a lot! They are a ton of fun imo!

MattN

Yes. Please watch the sequels. They are fun

Zathura is a fun movie. I'd support Addie watching it before the 2017 Jumanji.

Even though I voted for Bill and Ted, I'm glad you watched this. I always enjoy anything Robin Williams is in and if you enjoyed this, you should also consider checking out Zathura, the sci-fi version of Jumanji. I also hope you feel 100% better, Addie. God bless you.

There are actually two of them, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) & Jumanji: The Next Level (2019).

Yes, please watch the "Jumanji" (2017) sequel. It's just as fun. And... To be fair, yes I could see it being a little scary to a small kid. You're off the hook. lol [drum beats]

Speaking of Kirsten Dunst, I also suggest Little Women (1994), Small Soldiers (1998), The Virgin Suicides (1999), Dick (1999), Bring It On (2000), Wimbledon (2004), Marie Antoinette (2006), Hidden Figures (2016) & The Power of the Dog (2021). #MoreKirstenDunstForAddieCounts

You just *knew* Kirsten Dunst was going to be a star when first watching this.

Happy Saturday, Addie. I'm so glad you enjoyed this movie, despite your perception of it being scary to you as a child. This is definitely one of my favorite Robin Williams movies. Bradley Pierce, who played Peter, is also the voice of Chip in Beauty and the Beast (1991). If you look up the film's director, Joe Johnston, then you'll know that he also did Jurassic Park III (2001) & Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). Speaking of him, I also suggest Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989), The Rocketeer (1991), October Sky (1999), Hidalgo (2004), The Wolfman (2010, UNRATED DIRECTOR'S CUT, for Halloween), and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018, he did the film's reshoots and oversaw the film's post-production, for Christmas). #MoreJoeJohnstonForAddieCounts
