MY HERO ACADEMIA SEASON 2 EPISODE 12 REACTION!!!

Moleman is an actual character in Marvel universe. Lucky you should really watch some Marvel movies too like Spider-man for example.

Inka Lindqvist

Bakugou is an angry Pomeranian.

I did make it clear that "victory IN THIS TOURNAMENT is not that important". Bakugo is absolutely right to want to be stronger than any enemy. But wanting to crush any of his comrades even when he knows the main one is in psychological distress? Again, what are the main values of a hero? Do you think All Might's speech about the essence of a hero was put there for nothing? Do you think Bakugo's frustrating victory was scripted accidentally? Do you think Horikoshi brings in Stain's speech at that moment just for fun? Bakugo benefits from a false victory because he shouldn't have been rewarded for a victory against a psychologically fragile comrade. We're not talking about ninjas in this story. We're talking about what should be freaking SUPERHEROES !

Nicholas Kent

this is so wrong, sure bakugo has inferior complex, but his path of wanting to be a best hero by always winning and beeing the best isnt wrong, just because its not like deku also its not like shoto let him win, he pussied out, and if he went all out it was 50/50 who would win between them

Rei

Actually, when I said she was scared to leave him, I did have in my mind that she was scared for them, not for herself. So, yes, we're actually on the same page, I think.

There's also the other possibility that the reason she stayed wasn't because of Endevour but rather Shoto and his siblings. There's more than a few circumstances I can think of (one that I am unfortunately close with) where a mother is willing to put up with abuse because she wants to protect or simply stay with her children. And now that I think about it; her conversion on the phone actually makes that rather likely, because the thing she says she "can't take anymore" is that she's starting to see her husbands face when she looks at Shoto, so even she's realising she's losing the plot and starting to become terrified of the children she loves.

I actually really like when u leave a comment cuz u always have a different point of view than my own, so it makes me think! It is hard to believe but thinking back to some of my domestic abuse cases, its not uncommon for the victim to go back to the abuser! So maybe she did have that. Also, didn't think about him being the nmbr 2 hero in the world, yea, he is def powerful as hell, money, fame and power. Yup, that can def make it tricky! Good point!

Lazar

Also, just because her parents were paid to let Endeavour marry their daughter doesn't necessarily mean that they didn't care AT ALL. For all we know, she might've actually tried getting support from her parents, who most likely simply didn't know about the bigger picture.

Maks Lesniewski

You don't seem to consider the possibility (which, btw, I don't blame you for, because that IS genuinely hard to imagine) that the reason she didn't leave was that she loved him despite the abuse, or, even if not that, that she was simply afraid to leave one of Japan's most influential people.

Maks Lesniewski

And i literally said if she had no say in the matter, and her parents arranged everything, then why is she complaining to them, they obviously didnt care. I was coming from the fact that she probably knew all of that beforehand, they usually meet before marriage, i doubt Endeavor hid his crazy side, the fact that he led with - I WANT U SO I CAN CREATE STRONG MASTERPIECES was red flag number one lol But sure, if we wanna say she had no say so and had no idea what kinda man he is, then yes, im with u. She still could've just left without pouring boiled water on her child 💀 But i guess she was already nuts at that point.

Lazar

"If she wanted the marriage, why is she complaining?" I don't know, man, cause he beat her?! Like, even if she had no issue being in an arranged marriage, it's not like she agreed to being treated like garbage.

Maks Lesniewski

His mom hasn't seen him in many years, ever since she burnt his face. And he turned up completely unannounced. So she probably didn't smile because she was in complete shock and was never expecting to see him visit. That's how I interpreted that scene anyway

Krowft

Bakugo didn't win the way he wanted because he didn't deserve it xD I mean, Horikoshi (the author) refused to let Bakugo win the way he wanted because he wanted to teach his character a lesson. Bakugo needs to grow up as a man AND as a hero. His inferiority complex needs to go. It's often turned into a comedy so haha funny. But it's still relatively pathetic if we want to be honest. Where Deku was worried about Shoto because he sees him as a future great hero hindered by his trauma, Katchan only thought about blowing his face off so that people would applaud him (and tell him he's better than Deku). That's not what you call mature and heroic behavior. He's like a small Endeavor minus the abusive patriarchy lol We come back to the subject of the merits of this tournament. Why put the heroes in competition to this point FROM their school training? Is this not preparing them to show vanity ? Between Deku, Shoto and Katchan, Deku was the first to understand that victory IN THIS TOURNAMENT was not that important if we think about the real role of a hero. And Shoto understood it too by thinking back on his life and then letting Katchan win. You are only just beginning to know his speech but you will realize that Stain is partly right lol Aside from that, I love that Shoto needs more than a Talk no Jutsu from Deku to overcome his trauma (like in other manga...). I find the psychological treatment of the different characters and their relationships with those close to them very realistic if we put the whole superhero aspect aside.

Nicholas Kent

I love this next fight which comes after this Sports festival.

Inka Lindqvist

So we finally got to the finals! I absolutely love what Bakugo said to Todoroki both before and during the match. I also understand his frustration at winning like that. It felt like a hollow, undeserved victory so I can relate to being pissed off like that. And yeah, that's Shoto's older sister. She's a sweetheart. Tenya's brother, Tensei is in critical condition, but not dead. I'm sure this won't have any negative affects on Tenya going forward. Oh, before I forget! That big move Bakugo used is called Howitzer Impact and it's not only really cool visually, but very creative and powerful. I didn't comment on the last episode, but Bakugo used his explosions on Tokoyami(The Beak) and created a stun grenade. I think he's currently the best in his class because he's shown not only great power, but also creativity and flexibly with using his quirk. And they touched on this briefly, but we're going to get these kids scouted out by hero agencies, so that's something to look forward to! But this brings us to the end of the Sports Festival Tournament Chunin Exams arc! And, in my personal opinion, this next arc slows things down a bit in terms of action, but it's also shorter, so it won't be half of the season like this was. I think it's like 5 or 6 episodes long? And we get another new opening for Lucky to skip and never watch! We just kinda give you crap about the openings because we really like them and maybe you can do a reaction to the openings and maybe the endings too after you finish up with a season. But you'd also have to do season 1's along with two if you do decide to do that! Anyways, loving the reaction and the series with you, Lucky. I'll see you in the next one!
