I am so Team Rhaenyra! Yes, she is impulsive and does things that can be called insane! But at least she seizes freedom whenever she gets the chance. She does what she wants even if the world around her looks down on her afterwards. The truth is that she is the only one who has been honest from the start. She wanted the throne and would only marry a man she wanted: her uncle. Everyone else acts like hypocrites or schemers. Alicent flirted with her best friend's father (The King) behind her back because her father ordered her to. She had children with him knowing full well that there could be a succession dispute between her children and her childhood friend. And at 30, she loses her temper, blaming Rhaenyra a lot for her thirst for freedom. The joke.
