Glad you enjoyed the episode. I agree about Mayuri and the special threat thing you said. Always think thats interesting to who else Yhwach shouldve/couldve named. At first I wasn't the biggest fan of the CGI with Pernida but now I like it. It kinda gives off this out of place vibe

2024-11-25 02:35:34 +0000 UTCYep; knew you were going to love this ep just because it was Kurotsuchi XD (I on the other hand didn't like it *quite* as much because I'm actually a Pernida fan, and they did not do him justice this ep lol) Incidentally; you have actually seen Pernida before. Remember that moment when Ywhach was talking with Ichibe and Ichibe had that arm with the eyes in it that Ywhach called "My fathers arm"? Yeah; that was Pernida. It's not a Ukitake situation where the arm has a host of some sort; Pernida just straight up is a sentient arm fighting with its own will. Also; something that you should love as a DragonBall fan; if you look at the VA's of Kurotsuchi and Pernida, that basically makes this fight Freiza vs. Broly~

The right hand represents stillness and so it is aligned with the soul reapers who represent the status quo of the world. On the other hand, the left hand represents advancement and so it is aligned with Yhwach and his Quincies who want to advance by getting rid of the current world and replacing it with something new.
