2024-11-16 16:27:45 +0000 UTCWhoo boy; waiting until Tuesday is going to be hard; you aren't going to be ready for the revelations that are going to result~ There is a film; though tbh it's canonicity is kinda up in the air, no-one seems to know if its supposed to be. Either way, the film takes place during the timeskip that happened a few episodes back; so it's not going to expand the story further. (That said; still think you should watch it~) But here's the biggest twist; you know how you said "there's probably only one arc left to adapt"? Well; you're 100% wrong! The final episode adapts chapter 272of the manga; and the Manga is currently at chapter 376, and still going~ There's a lot more left to go~

So the two half elven children you see are the descendants of the twin that survived while the twin that died is the soul that inhabited Yuno. Meaning the twin that survived is the great great great great great great grandparent of the two elven children we were just introduced to. Also those those twins in episode 120 as looking up into the sky as the elves were going to afterlife.
