2024-11-05 19:38:00 +0000 UTCDamn; the soundtrack of "The Last Agni Kai" is still one of the most hauntingly beautiful soundtracks I've seen in a show. Combined with the perfection of the visuals; that fight is the masterpiece of the series. (Though Aang vs Ozai is a close second) 2 little things you missed regarding the last lightning attack from Azula btw, and they both actually call back to when Iroh first explained the process in the first place. Lightning bending is supposed to come from control and peace of mind. So Ozai using it against Aang makes sense; he feels like he's on top of the world and has nothing to worry about. But Azula is losing her mind and sanity by the second; and yet she's still able to make lightning. That is a level of prodigy towards bending that no-one else in the show can even come close to matching. The second is with Zuko; he didn't just throw himself in the way to protect Katara, it's quick; but you can see he did manage to redirect the lightning. But what he missed was one of the big dangers Iroh warned him about; he held onto it. Zuko was so desperate to make sure Katara would be safe; he messed up his movements and had to keep the lighting in his body for just a tiny moment longer than he was supposed to, and that's what nearly killed him.
