So it seems Yhwach was inside of the original universe with his father. He was a boy then became a teenager and then a man, so looks like he was born and lived in the original singular universe. But you saw when his father created the three realms, Yhwach was turned into a baby and born, so it seems at that moment he was sent into the soul cycle into the world of the living. It is also very curious, and this is not a spoiler, none of this is, but its very curious that Yhwach was born as a black baby (pause, not racist). Why was Yhwach pitch black? We know that Yhwach a nameless infant who could not speak or hear or see and didn't move. That sounds a lot like maybe Ichibei inked this kid the moment he was born (WTF if true). Obviously because he can share his soul with people, eventually he was able to recover his true self. His backstory is actually really creative and not typical for anime at all. The son of God who was sent into the cycle of life and forsaken but came back to undo everything his Dad did, at least that's what Yhwach told us this episode. If Ichibei really inked this dude, its over for the soul reapers, they're evil af, no coming back from that.

2024-10-15 16:54:02 +0000 UTCNow onto what yiu actually asked about :) Regarding Ywhachs plan; (This is going to be a little bit complicated lol) To put it simply: Ywhach knew the future, but that doesnt mean he could control the future. Over a thousand years ago, before he started anything, he did have access to the Almighty, albeit a slightly weaker version of what he has now. But heres the thing: do you remember in the previous cour there was that scene of Ywhach talking with Ichibe? During that meeting, Ywhach actually lost the Almighty when he tried taking that arm with the eyes. So for the last 1000 years, Ywhach hasnt been able to see anything; and everything hes been doing is to make sure he gets himself to this point at this specific time. This is where Zangetsu and Aizen came in. Over 1000 years ago, Yhwach knew that there would eventually be a single person born with the blood of all the races that he could use to end the Soul King. But if actually go and look back; neither Aizen or Zangetsu were trying to do that. Aizen had literally no clue what would happen if a Quincy was bitten by White: that was not part of his plan at all. And int he first cour: Zangetsu tells Ichigo that he was actively trying to keep Ichigo away from his Quincy heritiage, because he actually wanted to escape from whatever Ywhach would do if he returned. So to put it simply, Yhwachs plan was to wait. He didnt know how or why Ichigo would be born, but he did know when, and he also onew that if he stayed out of it, the world world progress on its own in a way that would get Ichigo to becone a Soul Reaper. So he took the first Quincy invasion, knowing that he would sleep for 1000 years, and awaken at the time that the Soul King could finally perish. All he needed to do is the mean time was put together an army and a plan on how to get to the Royal Palace at the time when the Almighty finally returned to him. (Oh: and since you brought it up; there was a 5th person that was considered a special threat to the Quincies; and that was Ichibe. Though considering his current position? Probably not much of one anymore lol)

2024-10-15 15:31:13 +0000 UTCAlrighty: Birthday posting for myself, but ill split my comment up into two parts :) First: a rundown of completely new things in this episode that werent in the manga: 1) Biggest and simplest; the official reveal that the Soul Kings real name is Adnyeus. People were suspecting it might be due to another anime-only line that appeared last cour; but regardless, an offical name that fans have been waiting over a decade for is huge. 2) While its not 100% clear, the opening seen seems to suggest that Yhwach was actually born before the splitting of the 3 realms. This is genuinely shocking because i legitimately dont think that anyone suspected Yhwach actually has experience living in the combined world hes trying to create. 3) The reveal that Yhwach was never actually able to kill the Soul King. In the manga he does have Ichigo be the one to deliver the killing strike, but there it always seemed like he was just doing it because… why not. But now: theres actually a reason; the Soul King couldn’t be killed by any one race: it would need to be a situation where all the races of the three worlds he made combined there power to kill him. (So it doesnt need to be a hybrid like Ichigo, but thats just the simplest way of doing things)
