2023-09-15 22:56:12 +0000 UTCThis was cool to see, I’m always interested in comparisons like this, shows running changes in production or difference in early and late in runs. I’m really curious what the full story on this new run is, an actual re-running of the molds or old stock. From what I know that kind of difference in colour/sheen can come from dye-lot difference in raw plastic used at different times in the run. To match that closely to the original colour this many years later is impressive if it is a whole new run with the molds. Damn good formula and followed to the letter if that is the case! I wouldn’t be surprised if it came from unassembled parts from 2016, stored to make production line room for something that would potentially sell better. That would account for the difference in build, new workers not as seasoned in assembling Transformers, slightly off place ratchets in that assembly, different screws, etc. That would fit, old stock part sprues from 2016 pulled out of storage and assembled now. Easy to print the boxes again from old files, the new factory owners make some easy cash to fund new projects hopefully. Its fun to speculate under the tinfoil hat lol
