I'm not going to excuse Nucky but in his mind she faked crazy to avoid jail and was trying to get him to bail her out not to mention she tried to kill him two different times in the show and he was more being real he didn't have the power to get her out and pretty much because of lucky Luciano he had to leave the city also he sit it up for her to have a private room and he said if she can get herself out he had money in an account for her but he was done
