I like XTransbots but I have had some massive issues with them. I've bought 7 of their figures and only 3 have no massive issues. That's not even 50%. Those 3 are their Cliffjumper, Hubcap or Seaspray. (and it's arguable that Cliffjumper and Hubcap are the same figure.) I have tab breakage issues with my their Skids, Windcharger and Tailgate. I replaced the Skids with the official MP and just keep the other 2 in robot mode. The worst was Janssen. I'm a huge Perceptor fan and that figure had me excited until I had it in hand. Mine had an assembly issue that kept him from going into microscope mode, forcing me to completely take apart the chest to screw something all the way in so that his arm would sit where it needed to be. Then, going back into robot mode, where I was going to leave him permanently, I couldn't get the other arm out of the body and it broke off entirely due to me pulling on it harder than should have been necessary. With hundreds of Transformers in my collection, that's the worst I've ever had and I'm pretty sure the only one I've literally thrown. So, the XTB zealots can say what they want, my track record with that company isn't that great.

Ultra Magnus is my favorite character loved him from the day I watched the movie and got the G1 toy that Xmas. I wanted to like the XTB Magnus and objectivity its a better figure but when I look at it I feel empty(maybe I have other issues but that aside). When I look at MP22 I can just hear Robert Stack voice saying the lines from the movie and makes me feel like Im 5 years old again G1 toy in hand watching the movie. There is just something about MP22 that captures the essences of Ultra Magnus that XTB just doesn't have. As my collection fills out that essences that feeling if what I want from the figures I buy. Hope that makes some level of sense.
