Yes BW2 was an animated show. Basically this figure suffers from the "toon to a fault" direction Takara is going these days. The original series Beast Wars figures fair far better since they made the effort to actually improve the designs for the show. This of course makes them far more trickery to engineer.

I saw a comparison between that MP and the original Lio Convoy... and the original Lio Convoy looks so much better than the MP. The MP has so many openings and visible screws. Bleh.
