DC question: What stories/books would the Nerd Rage crew recommend to show the depth of the DC universe that aren’t Batman? Or at least not solely Batman stories (like Killing Joke or Long Halloween). I always had a hard time relating to a majority of DC characters due to them being so damn powerful. Spider-Man had real world problems to deal with (like paying rent, holding down a job, etc) so always seemed like his story was within the realm of possibility. A man seeking justice by taking on crime after a tragic event also seems like it’s not that far from reality vs an alien baby with god like powers. Interested to give DC a closer look, just need recommendations. Part two would be do you like your super heroes to have relatable issues and vulnerabilities (Ironman’s alcoholism for example, X-Men’s fight for acceptance etc) or prefer the more iconic, larger than life symbol of an ideal like Superman?
