Elle - improved color
Added 2016-07-18 16:28:36 +0000 UTCYay! So I spent a few days and cleaned up what I could, re-added all the color, and threw in some highlights etc to make Elle look better. I think it's a big improvement from the outsource job. This probably won't be the final version of her, since I still want to do a shading pass on the whole thing buuuut that'll take a while. For now, this is where she's at ^_^ Do you think it looks better? Or am I just OCD and fixed up things only I would notice...? Oh and in case you were wondering the teal background is just placeholder - it helps me identify where there are gaps in the color.

I think your "hybrid" art style is great. It's a nice new take in an arena where art from different works can look very similar, and sometimes a little boring after a while.

2016-07-22 04:13:32 +0000 UTCTeehee :P Well I personally think Chris (our animator friend) has a Don Bluth style more than a Disney one. I tried to reel it back to anime aesthetics, but it wound up with that nice hybrid of american/japanese look. I hope people like it!! ^_^

2016-07-18 22:42:14 +0000 UTCHah I guess that was worded confusingly. Our animator friend Chris, he's the awesome one. He's just expensive, but all the pencil tests are his... Then the outsourced guy is the bad cleanup animator, we won't be using him ever again. Hence I'm going in and doing the cleanup/colors myself :P
