Breaking the kiss, she spread her arms to the sides and tilted her head back. Wind swept over her skin and through her hair. She was flying, soaring, free.

SPOILER (and confession): When they parted, I HAD to peek at the ending just to reassure myself they were together. I breathed a sigh of relief and went back to reading, but soon, I was wishing I hadn't peeked. No, no, I had to see. The angst was too much for me! Wonderful fantasy, extraordinary worldbuilding in Vex's home; I adored the characters, rich, fulfilling scenes-- it's everything that makes us other writers JEALOUS!!
