Hi everyone. Easter is long past so you may wonder what is this fluffy bunny doing on this page? Well.. if you don't follow me on Twitter you are right to ask.
So a few days ago I came across this lovely rendered image of LolaBunny which I decided to practice re-doing for myself. This Twitter post describes who are the original creators https://twitter.com/BadSpidersDen/status/990224080883380224 and here is my result https://twitter.com/BadSpidersDen/status/990887768602619904
If you are not an artist you may wonder what's the purpose of replicating another drawing. Well, first of all I just love this style of cartoon linework but also the coloring was beautiful. So I wanted to see how I measure up to it. Can I achieve the same level? Also there were a few unanswered questions with my later rendering style and my drawing software. Some tiny areas were remaining unfilled which would then later cause problems, because the rendering effects applied on top of them would see a "hole" and leave a "hole" behind also. So I devised an even better and I think more efficient way to work, one that takes care of these little problems. Once done, coloring was a breeze and much enjoyable and after the basic cell shading, I took it even further than the original piece. Please read all about it and find all the images on the links above.
So now, you know why you may want to follow me on Twitter. I upload sketches and mostly daily updates of my work. So feel free to drop by and say "hello".
You may also wonder why I do not attach the pictures here in Patreon. Well, if this was all mine I would, but since this was based on other peoples idea, I prefer to not have any drama and have it freely available as "practice" and "fanart".
I hope you enjoy it. See you all soon.
...and remember, find me on Twitter ;)
That's all folks ^^
