Oh!! Yes okay, I totally missed that, thank you

You seemed a little confused when Loki scoffed and said, "Glorious purpose," to Mobius after he realized and accepted who he was. It is the first thing Loki says in The Avengers when he first appears at the beginning of the movie, through the Tesseract portal. He also said it to the Mongolian people when he appeared, here, in the Gobi Desert after using the Tesseract. He says the same thing, "I am Loki...of Asgard...and I am burdened with Glorious Purpose...!"

I read the first one in college and really liked that. I planned on reading the others, but never did. They started a comic book series of it also, but I don't think they got very far.

So, way back when, I was a child, and I read a series of books by Piers Anthony called the "Incarnations of Immortality series". Now, these books were written for nerds 🤣, young nerds at that. It's not a great series of books, it's fairly immature, but at its heart, it has some great concepts and ideas! Anyhoo, basically, all the familiar concepts of 'power' in the universe, death, time, fate, etc, are... "People", or beings, and they do the 'job' of the role of... Well, death, time, fate, etc. that's basically the series. Each book tells the story of each character, and how the job is filled, and how it works. The "Time" character is particularly interesting! He / she / they actually live backwards! So... They know the future, because it's in their past! 🤣 Anyway, it's a fun series, even if it's rather lite, and shallow.

Right? We haven't even gotten to some of the best variations on the theme, either. She's such a good composer.

Leading up to this series, it was pretty well-known which Loki we would be following. I recall my biggest concern being, "But he's such a murdering bastard! No matter how much we love him, you can't really 'redeem' him". Then, the first episode dropped, and I was so pleasantly surprised. Instead of making haphazard attempts at redeeming him, they spent the entirety of the first episode indicting him, deconstructing his character, re-contextualizing his narrative function in the stories of the other characters we love. I am so looking forward to how this series hits you. I'm just sitting here sympathizing with Jordan, wondering if he's having a difficult time shutting down all of your questions about WTH is going on. "Babe, c'mon, just watch the show! I ain't sayin' nothin'!".

The style of decor of the TVA is around late 60s/early 70s looking.

Can we take a moment and just appreciate the theme music? LOVE the music in this show

Love Mrs. Mins Tara Strong does her voice, she is the voice of My Little Pony, The Power puff girls, Batman Arkham City game, Raven from the Teen Titans, She is soooo good over 600 different voice characters.

For this series, Marvel added things after episodes 4 & 6 just as an fyi.

Always keep in mind that the Loki you're watching in this series is not the Loki you last saw. He hasn't gone through any of his journey of redemption you've seen since the first Avengers. He's got lots of room for growth. This starts like some of the best comic book stories -- you get an inkling of what's going on, the small pieces you see of the big picture just raise more interest and questions, and ultimately it feels like even though you don't know what exactly is going on, the scope and scale of the story seem so epic that it HAS to be good.

Loki went from a favorite of mine, straight to the top after this series.
