I can't think of this movie without also thinking about the SNL sketch 😂

This is a really good Cronenberg movie, but as Canadians you owe it to your nation, to your own people, to watch Cronenberg's Videodrome, The Fly, Scanners, Naked Lunch, The Brood, Crash, Existenz, A History of Violence,,, :)

What a happy-go-lightly movie!!!! just kidding. I have always loved this one and yes it is sad but it is captivating the whole time. Nice one

I do love the movie but I also recommend the show which has the same idea but is more of a procedural in a way? Really good

“Look at that outfit! He’s such a murderer!”😂
Oh man, the awful wallpaper. I’m old enough to remember when every room in the house was covered in ugly wallpaper. There are some things I miss from 50 years ago, but butt-ugly wallpaper isn’t one of them.

I can’t resist this movie. There are parts of this movie that are clunky, bit also other parts that are great. I had already seen “The Deer Hunter” before I saw this, so I knew Christopher Walken was a great actor, but he carried this movie. No help from De Niro or Streep required (Martin Sheen is pretty good in this though).
I love the question he posed to his doctor about killing Hitler. Loved the doctor’s answer of (to paraphrase) “I love people, therefore I would have to kill him.”
The trolley problem is a fun ‘what if?’ game to play. Of course my answer would be the same as the doctor’s, but then I think ‘Would I actually be able to kill?’. Kill one man to save millions is an easy choice to make philosophically, but it wouldn’t be easy to pull the trigger. I certainly like to think I would be able to.
Thanks for giving me a reason to watch this again.

LOVE this movie. Used to be my favorite movie, for awhile, in the 80s. I have that monolog Johnny says about God blessing him memorized still.
