WHAT!? That's crazy!!

I'm not sure when, but we're definitely aiming to get to the Netflix shows eventually!

Chandra

That Punisher has been on my radar for a while, I've always wondered about it....I can't promise anything but it might pop up one day :)

Chandra

I think I remember a Punisher story line where he's killed, cut into pieces, and reassembled into himself with a nod to Frankenstein. Marvel did some crazy stuff with that title.

James Melton

Loved this movie! My fav Punisher adaptation until the Netflix Series, Daredevil was sooo good I hope you end up watching both Daredevil and The punisher.

Fun fact, the Russian, who is pro wrestler Kevin Nash, was actually stabbed by a real knife when Tom Jane stabs him. It was supposed to be a prop.

Aaron Conklin

If you like this, you should absolutely consider adding a couple series to your list. The Netflix Daredevil that has now rolled into the Disneys Daredevil Born again (which continues the story) is the most epic daredevil ever done and the punisher that shows up in that series and then rolls into a spinoff is insane! And there’s a new punisher continuation with the same universe coming to Disney behind daredevil born again! These shows were unbelievable!

This is not bad... but its got nothing on the Netflix version. The Russian is actually VERY vocal (you can't shut him up even after cutting his head off !) If you want to read this it's Punisher v3 and v4 which is the epic Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon pairing (they also did the legendary Preacher comics).

They didn't hold back or water it down and I appreciated that. Punisher is a tragic character and that was on display throughout the whole film. I feel like Thomas Jane was a really good Punisher, and certainly deserves to at least be considered top spot against future candidates. It definitely wasn't the first R-rated comic book movie, but Punisher certainly cemented the value of r-rated comic movies following Blade's success. I think there's even a point where they were considering having a huge crossover with Spider-Man or the X-Men but just never happened. Question though, are you guys going to attempt "the kind-of but not really" Punisher led by Dolph Lundgren?
