Patreon Changes and Stuff (Kinda Important)

Hi everyone,

You may have been wondering where I've been this past month. I've had a fairly bad month mentally and  usually when that happens I withdraw off of everything(my twitter doodle posts this month were all scheduled before Sept). I've been rethinking this Patreon since the whole idea behind it was to give me more freedom to do what I wanted, but instead it morphed into me owing more stuff and getting in the way of commissions.

This past YCH I finished (Dorm) really changed my mind about YCHs for awhile. It took me 50+ hours in PS to finish. Waking up day after day working on the same 1 piece is super draining mentally, idk if I'm just being weak but I'm definitely am not looking to add anymore YCHs onto my the queue anytime soon.

I also had some personal stuff come up this month, a covid scare for myself. My grandmother is stuck in an old age home that has a bad outbreak right now.

All that to say, some big changes to the Patreon are coming. I really appreciated the support over the months, but I need to make these changes to get through coms for people and just for my mental.

TLDR: I will be winding down all tiers and be changing this Patreon to more of a tip jar just to keep the account active for when I come back to it for my own projects. I don't expect many people to stay, but I think it's just better for me overall right now.

This Months Rewards:

- There will be no YCH this month
- To substitute I will be opening 5 slots for the queue(Will not invoice till late Oct)
- Additionally every current patreon will have access to a commission waitlist form. I will slowly go through the waitlist when the queue finishes. Basically dibs on new slots.
- Ref pages will be an option for this opening and waitlist (Usually dont offer em)
- I've also locked the amount of patron slots so no one sneaks in last minute.

Tier Changes(will take place Sept 30th @ noon EST):

- Closing SinDraws
- Closing SinPaints
- Tip jar will no longer include the doodle reward or YCH stuff

From Here On Out:

- I will still be posting timelapses of what's currently in queue at the 2$ level (Shower YCH will be the last)
- If I do any extra stuff, I will post on here time to time.

I hope you guys understand where I'm coming from. You all have been super generous and didn't want to disappoint but I think I got a bit in over my head with the Patreon.

If you have any questions please leave a comment. Thx!

You do what you need to do <3 its been a real treat supporting, and enjoying all your time lapse videos, and the art you. Never really expected to go in for a ych or have sketches drawn for me, so thank you.

Taskmastar .

thats ok i dont see the problem with u needing to change ur tiers dont stress urself out anymore

I thought about it, but at this point it's something I'm not super interested in pursuing. The whole point of this was to work on some comics, but I had some placeholder rewards that got out of hand. There's extra pressure when you have large amounts of people paying, it surprisingly more stressful than I expected.

Have you considered raising prices so you can reduce the amount of work needed while still getting enough income?

As already mentioned, mental health is most important. I'll still donate of course cause i'm sure we all want to see more of your fantastic work and are willing to support you even if there is some scaling back

Thx I really appreciate it!

Your mental health is the main priority, and I'm glad that you're scaling down the Patreon for that. Please, take your time with ongoing projects so you won't stress yourself even more. Regardless, you still have my fullest support, and I'm wishing you the best.

You deserve a much needed break! I’ll still be here to support.

Thanks, stress is def killing me. My health has been in a bit of a spiral this year, I'm sure I'm not alone.

Glad you are taking these steps to self care. You have my support and I'm sure you'll still have the support of many others. Keep yourself healthy first and foremost and I wish you all the best in the coming months as well hopefully all less stressful.
