I think I finally figured out a way to add realistic contact sounds (hips smacking against ass) while still keeping my animation setup with all my plugins.
Before, you could kind of do it in VAM, but it meant going frame by frame. The problem is, since my plugins generate a totally random rhythm, the internal engine just couldn’t keep things in sync — so it didn’t work.
Now I’ve found a neat trick: slow VAM down artificially while keeping every single frame, then speed everything back up later in DaVinci during editing.
The result is crazy good, because even the physics get taken into account — just look at Lara’s ass bouncing. The only downside is that the voice gets sped up too. So either it’s not a big deal and I leave it as is, or I do two separate runs: one without slowing down to grab the audio, and another with the slowed system for the visuals.
Honestly, hearing real impact sounds instead of that old cardboard noise adds a whole new level of immersion.
