they made a mistake, they didn't account for that. mistakes are made in battles....also for story purposes it was done for dramatic effect...same with the Dothraki charge...people always say that was dumb no one would ever send them out first in a battle....well it's done for dramatic effect...they spend 8 seasons telling us no army could defeat the Dothraki in an open field...They had to show us how deadly a force they were facing....

2025-03-24 04:17:10 +0000 UTCIve never seen a confirmation, but it was always my expectation that when the Night King raised the dead again when Jon was chasing him, he only raised the newly dead. His zombies that were killed with fire and dragon glass and valyrian steel were down for good? Otherwise it would have been over entirely, they would have just swamped everybody instantly. So he only raised the Dothraki, Unsullied, and Northmen that had died in the battle plus those that had died of other causes in the crypts?
