You don't need a brand new tank to crush unarmed civilians. Meantime, our ol' Uncle Joe will be giving speeches on how his re-investment plan for America will save the day, something he had already done during the Vietnam War when he led a platoon of Marines and overran Ho Chi Minh's summer residence. True story...and just keep listening to that as the Chinese tanks move down Broadway...clankity clank!

Beyond all the political and economic reasons I suspect this is also a manifestation of 'snowflake' cultures of late. Bullies have always been a part of growing up and learning to deal with them was almost a rite of passage. But when an entire generation was raised on 'unicorns and rainbows' understanding the need to face down such behavior has been lost. The only thing the CCP will understand is that 'big stick' diplomacy...

2024-07-11 15:23:42 +0000 UTCI expect you're working on an episode about this already, whether here or on America Uncovered, but now that NATO have cleared a path for Ukraine *and* called out China's aid to Russia, it seems inevitable we're closer to direct war with Russia and its allies. How likely is China to side with Russia overtly if all of NATO went against Russia in a non-nuclear war? Would they perhaps soft-aid them by using that as opportunity to invade Taiwan? Seems unlikely China would ever join the CSTO pact, for propaganda reasons, but something similar could arise.
