Day 29 of 31 Days of Horror - Carrie
Added 2022-10-30 10:32:20 +0000 UTCI was always more of a Prom Night fan than Carrie. Even though they are very different movies, most notably that Prom Night is a slasher revenge picture and Carrie is a supernatural horror flick, in my brain it was one or the other for some reason.
I just rewatched Carrie last week and still im like meh and John Travolta’s acting and his character makes me want to punch my tv. The entire time i was like, damn i should be watching Prom Night. But i think everyone really only loves Carrie for the Prom scene where she is covered in pigs blood and killin off all of her bullies with the exception of some mind power friendly fire. But Carrie’s moms voice always popping up throughout was just comical because it sounded like Miss Piggy to me. “theyre all gonna laugh at you Kermie” But we can blame Brian De Palma for all those choices. Im sure Stephen King’s original book does it better and we dont have to hear Carrie’s muppet mom or see Travolta’s face.
But this poster art is iconic and we were able to knock it out in a half hour.
