Don's Diceless RPG

Hey Guys, it is Don here...

So as a way to break out of my boring routine this past month, I've been working on this project that interests me greatly and as it took most of my time and since it is your patronage, I've had the intention to share with you for both enjoyment and feedback. This is my custom made Tabletop Role Playing Game Engine inspired by Dungeons & Dragons the 5th Edition and Divinity Original Sin 2.

My original thought was to make this game entirely in Arabic and so it was for a few tries before I decided to switch it to English in order to get appropriate feedback from my original English speaking audience as I haven't made any Arabic speaking audience yet, and my major goal is to pioneer the Tabletop Fantasy RPG genre into the Arabic Scene based on pure Arabic Cultural Fantasy and Middle Eastern shenanigans.

That being said, I've made a few Races, Classes, Backgrounds which I will list right now.

First the Races:-

• The Humans: The generic races with the most open customization options.
  
• The Amalek: Amalek means giants but these people lived in the Arabian peninsula and were mentioned with this name in the Biblical sources and the Arabian folklore.
  
• The Dwarves: Not too far from the generic Dwarves of fantasy but cowardly, sensitive to sunlight, and obsessed over riches just like the ones from RSTUM.
  
• The Ferals: Not were-creatures but can still shift into more human-like forms. Closer to the Shifters from D&D.
  
• The Arjwan: Half Human Half Djinn, basically Tieflings with appearance shifting abilities.
  

The idea behind races is to make them derived from the human race which is the major race of the world and due to the general beliefs and traditions, these things were made to be half humans at best but with minor genetic changes or close resemblance to Arabic folklore.

As for the Classes, I went for a non-magic approach also because of the general beliefs in the region and not to face the same criticism D&D faced in the 70s and the 80s. These classes  are…

• The Fighter
  
• The Guerilla (Barbarian alternative)
  
• The Banneret (Paladin alternative)
  
• The Dervish (Monk alternative)
  
• The Hunter (Ranger alternative)
  
• The Joker (Rogue alternative)
  
• The Poet (Bard alternative)
  
• The Hakim (An Alchemist - Wizard alternative)
  
• The Engineer (An Alchemist - Artificer alternative)
  

As most of these classes are as mundane as possible, I've replaced the whole magical theme with Alchemy and changed the Magic to Aether or أثير as it is known in Arabic which is associated with the supernatural aspects of science and metaphysics.

No lore was established just yet but I have some stuff written that will remain unpublished for the time being. Monsters and characters can be easily imagined and created from the system by those of you who are adept in RPG Tabletops.

One last thing, I've added a ton of illustrations and concept art to the book so it won't be a boring read, I hope. Enjoy it while I prepare for tomorrow's chapter.
