(1: Down He Goes)

"I'm pregnant, Dai Jin. Let's break up." and that's how it all went down..

Dai Jin was overwhelmed by the fact that the weak point he didn't notice was actually his fiancée. The daughter of the Gong family who was engaged to him by an arrangement through his late grandfather and the only support he has against the rest of the Dai family.

It may seem like a bit of a cliche but his family found all sorts of excuses to discriminate against him. His mother was a foreigner, his father abandoned the family, he's currently an orphan, he only survived this far thanks to his grandfather, all he did for a living was to stream video-games, his influence comes from his fiancée's family… so on and so forth.

It was true but what else could he do and why are they using these excuses against him when the only thing the Dai family did was trying to steal his inheritance?

His mother is indeed a foreigner who disappeared after giving birth to him, his father also left the family for unknown reasons and died afterwards, his grandfather who protected him died when Dai Jin was 16 and he was almost kicked out by the family but he managed to make a living through video-game streaming career and made a comeback by relying on the support of the Gong family.

With all this and that, he almost did the impossible and he wasn't even 21 years of age. Once he becomes fully 21 years old, the law will be on his side as long as the Gong family has his back.

But they didn't. They stabbed him in the back now that Gong Chu has cheated on him.

"You dirty bitch! Who was it?"

Dai Jin could no longer tolerate what he heard, he can't even feel the things he started breaking around in her apartment.

"Stop! No! Help, Dai Feng… help me!"

Dai Feng! Of course it was that Dai Feng. who else would impregnate the Bitch if not the Mongrel himself?

"I'll kill you! And I'll kill him!"

Dai Jin could no longer care about anything in the world, he hated Dai Feng the most. Dai Feng took everything from him, bullied him, beated him, humiliated him and now he denied him the comeback he worked so tirelessly for. How can't he chock the ever-living shit out of Gong Chu that was in his reach?

"Dai Jin, stop where you are, you son of a bitch?"

The voice he so much hates was right behind him. Dai Feng was here.

"Dai Feng, I'll fucking kill you." Dai Jin spoke blinded by anger but…

"That's that then." Dai Feng was fully relieved hearing that as he pulled out a gun, "Go to hell, fucking trash."

*Bang* *Bang*

It was all staged.

They planned it together.

They can no longer do anything but to kill him. A self-defense case is all they need and they naturally own the police. He realized all that the moment he saw the gun pointed at him.

He staggered backwards with two bloody holes on his shirt as his mind was losing its strength. How he longed for vengeance against the Dai family was his driving force but now that he is dying, he started feeling that he wasted his life.

"Shit!"

There was no point regretting it now, he was angry that his life was cut so short, he could feel himself falling on his arms and knees but he wanted to get up and give one more punch to that idiotic face of Dai Feng.

"I'm… I'm not done…"

With the last bit of life he had, Dai Jin pushed himself up trying to reach Dai Feng but Gong Chu was closer, he had her by the hair and she screamed.

"No!"

"Shit! Die already!"

Dai Feng couldn't shoot with Gong Chu in Dai Jin's hand so he had to dirty his hands. The dying Dai Jin was weak and with just one push, he was sent back… back towards the window.

"Dammit! He fell!"

Dai Jin was falling from the tall building with two bullet wounds. The self-defense may no longer be valid but little did he care, he was already seeing the world black.

If he regrets anything then it would be all those people that were close that he abandoned for revenge. How he longs to have one more game with someone he likes, to live another thrilling adventure with his best mates, to go back to the simple days.

Ah! Here was it… regrets! The type of things that one carries to his Afterlife.

But…

Dai Jin's would have something different. His fate took a different turn which altered his misfortune entirely just by the interference of a single being that was as cornered as he was.

Two Fates entwined but not so soon we are telling that story, we are starting with the fun part.

Interesting as it is, strange memories collided with existing ones. Dai Jin couldn't tell which memories were the original and which were new but he soon came to understand that both of them are Original and New to a certain extent.

Something miraculous happened!

At the same time, Jin of the Dai family from a Modern World was being bullied and pushed around to end with his demise, there was another Jin of a Dai clan from a Martial World and he was also being bullied for very similar reasons.

The story of the first Dai Jin ended with betrayal from his fiancée but the second Dai Jin had it worse, he was an idiot with a too simple brain to understand what was happening around him. The point is… there was no way of knowing how he died.

Still the two found themselves becoming one.

The first Dai Jin was almost 21 and the other was almost 16. There were many different things between them yet the similarities were what caused them a big shock. They didn't just share the same name and appearance but also the Dai family and the Dai clan were almost the same. Still, there was a deviation in their stories that caused the second Dai Jin to die too early. Dai Jin couldn't tell what it was as it was all blurry.

But now wasn't the time to worry about this and that. Dai Jin (the 2-in-1 package) was in a place he couldn't recognize. It was a strange forest near a lake. If he could see such a wonderful natural scene after dying then this is surely Heaven, good thing he was a believer.

But what rendered his expectations useless was the fact that he had a strange screen appearing in front of him.

"Such a game-like thing to have in Heaven!" He thought.

Strange as it was, Dai Jin looked at his body and found it covered in some plain light robe. He had longer hair and a thinner body than usual, these were all the features of the second Dai Jin. It didn't matter since he looked good either way. Black hair, Golden eyes, sharp features… it was all him when he was 16.

Now, the so-called Heaven around him was indeed a beautiful lush forest with a central lake and a few rivers and waterfalls going in and out of it surrounded by hills and mountains. It was truly the wonder of creation untouched by humans. What was strange was the lack of animals and birds but how can this place be natural when a screen appears in front of him?

"So… a Tutorial? What should I do then?" He asked.

Not expecting much of an answer, Dai Jin wasn't much surprised when it came either.

< Objective 1: Find the Hidden Temple >

"I… I see. Still, why would I do anything you say? I mean… who are you?"

A minute passed without an answer no matter how much he twisted the question.

"Fine, what's in it for me then?"

« Tutorial Reward: Level Up to Lv.1 (1st Layer, Spirit Novice Realm) »

There were two different pieces of information Dai Jin found here. The "First Dai Jin" understood was the term "Level Up" which meant that wherever he is, it is a place associated with Leveling and probably more game-like features. On the other hand, the "Second Dai Jin" was shocked senseless.

Achieving the 1st Layer of the Spirit Novice Realm means that he can become a Martial Artist. If that is true then… his useless meridians are no longer a hindrance to his fate? It was too unbelievable.

Martial Artists begin Cultivation at a young age to enter the Spirit Novice Realm as early as they could. After all, the whole world he comes from looked at nothing other than the Martial Talent which he obviously lacked.

Achieving any Martial realm was an impossible dream to Dai Jin yet now, he can just finish up one tutorial and be one of those Martial Artists? It was completely absurd.

Between the conflicted emotions of the two (Dai Jin)s, the final product of the two finally agreed to undergo the Tutorial.

Once he waved his hands at the screen, it disappeared and he was all by himself.

"No hints? Tools? Survival kits? What a lacking tutorial!"

He was a bit worried about this tutorial but what can go wrong in this forest anyway? All he needs to do is find some high ground or climb a tree to find that [Hidden Temple]. With his small body, he can go up and down on any tree effortlessly.

The first tree that looked safe enough to climb was his first target. He started checking his footing the higher he climbed and soon enough, he was at the top of the forest's level seeing the blue sky above and the mystifying green around in this magical rainy forest enshrouded by morning mist.

"This is truly beautiful." Dai Jin exclaimed, "Now, Hidden Temple, where are you?"

The forest around him was akin to a sea of green surrounded mountains and hills. There was no sign of human civilization anywhere except…

"A village?"

A village appeared on the other side of the lake. It was really a village with some traditional Chinese buildings and all that. It looked rather quiet sleeping under the shade of that mountain.

"If there is a village then there is surely a Temple."

Dai Jin knew that logic shouldn't apply in this situation but when there is no clue, anything is better than nothing and so he decided to go over to the village and check it out. Still, that plan was interrupted before it even began.

*Swoosh*

That's what he heard, a swooshing sound that came at him as he was completely unprepared. A cold sensation crept through his whole being as he looked at his body.

There was a spear penetrating him from his back to his front coming out of his chest. The pain started with the coldness of iron then a strong goosebumpy shiver and finally a complete loss of his control over his body.

He fell from the tree painfully on the ground feeling his ribs cracking to pieces destroying his lungs and organs from inside. He couldn't even scream from the damage to his lungs.

A painful deathly situation. The third on the same day.

What Dai Jin saw last thing was two beings one riding on the other and some screens.

« Restarting Tutorial in 3, 2, 1…

Dai Jin opened his eyes.

He was no longer wounded, he was not injured.

He knew he was dying, he knew he died, he experienced death before and he knows what he just went through was real, not some hallucinations.

"Shit!"

All of a sudden, that Heaven he thought he was in was no Heaven at all. He looked around himself and from every shadow, he could feel a monster creeping towards him wanting to claim his life. Life? Such a funny concept indeed.
