Sigh. We were doing so well, fiends. The Munsters Today had really impressed us as it developed over season one and we were even more excited by the first few episodes of this season. But, boy, did we hit a rough patch this week. We're talking "The Trial" and "It's A Wonderful Afterlife", one episode with the terrible premise of stoking the trendy late-80s/early-90s fear of and disdain for lawsuits of any kind (but with some fairly decent jokes), and the other episode having some of the most egregiously cruel fatphobia we've ever seen on a primetime network TV family sitcom (but with the fairly decent message of loving your family and appreciating what you have even if you aren't as financially well-off as others). Calling them a mixed bag would be underselling it. Oh well, we had a pleasant time discussing these unpleasant episodes, and we hope you enjoy listening.
