I think the last of us 2 (both the game and the show) suffer from a lack of narrative focus. This story generally boils down to a “violence is bad” and “everyone is the villain in someone else’s story” type message. Andor benefits from specificity, making it very clear that SYSTEMIC violence is bad, this is how it functions, and this is how it can be dismantled.
