I made a metroid dread thing that I posted on twitter and youtube for spooky day. The first FTM is the whole track minus some sound effects, while the PCM version has samples added throughout for ambience. I adjusted the volume of these samples in post editing, while adding some subtle compressed EMMI sound effects. While it's obviously not true to hardware limitations, I thought a more fine animation and sound design for the EMMI would make it unsettling and more creepy in contrast with everything else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
