I'm currently in the midst of a tut that goes through the entire workflow of creating a game asset from scratch. I've meshed, unwrapped, and currently learning how to texture paint from scratch. As i'm doing this i'm thinking of maybe redoing some of the items from the bathroom set but we'll see! its 15th of may so not sure if im able to pull it off before June so maybe i'll safe the new skills for an new set.
Its going to give me so much freedom in the future so im super happy i decided to take the time to learn new stuff. Ya'll are gonna benefit from it in the end hehe ;) Right now the tutorials are based on deco items etc but i think i can also apply most of the knowledge to CAS items as well. I'm rlly curious to see how that turns out!
i must say... i have a whole new appreciation for other creators that do this. Creating textures from scratch. Meshing is sort of the 'easy' part for me rn. texturing in blender is a whole new level complicated.
This item is just a testing object but if it turns out nice i can maybe make it into a deco item. Its some sort of thundergun, not sure for a purpose of it in-game but yeah... we'll see!

Learning something new is always so exciting especially when in the end we can see the result as some kind of an object being it either a painting or like in this case a game asset 🥰
